"Let's see what this new baby can really do!" Analia's voice crackled with intensity as she and Raleigh synchronized their movements. Razor Angel's whip unfurled, each of its nine tails sparking with energy as they readied the plasma blade. The weapons hummed with a menacing glow, their power thrumming through the Conn-Pod and sending vibrations up Analia's arms.
"Nate, fire up some of that Fury tech Liwen grabbed us," Raleigh commanded, his eyes sharp, focused.
Jake's voice came through, a hint of a grin detectable even through the comms. "Read my mind, partner."
Gypsy Avenger and Razor Angel surged forward in tandem, their movements a symphony of mechanical power and precision. The Jaegers' feet slammed into the pavement, sending tremors rippling through the ruined streets as they closed in on the Kaiju. The neon lights of Tokyo's cityscape flickered against the Jaegers' armor, casting eerie shadows over the battlefield.
Razor Angel's whip lashed out, striking at the Kaiju's limbs while Gypsy Avenger came in from the other side, firing its plasma cannons. The blasts illuminated the sky, and for a moment, it looked as if they had the upper hand. But the Kaiju moved with terrifying speed, its tails whipping around like massive serpents, deflecting the Jaegers' attacks.
In a sudden, brutal counterattack, the Kaiju slammed its arm into Gypsy Avenger, sending it crashing backward into the remnants of a skyscraper. The impact was thunderous, shaking the ground as debris cascaded around the fallen Jaeger. Analia felt the shock reverberate through the drift, and she tightened her grip on the controls, her gaze darting to the screens displaying Gypsy's status.
To her left, she saw Saber Athena, Ezra and Amara's Jaeger, engaging another part of the beast. The sleek Jaeger's twin katana blades flashed as they sliced through one of the Kaiju's secondary brains, and for a split second, victory seemed within reach.
But the Kaiju retaliated viciously. Its massive, spiked tails shot forward, tearing through Saber Athena's leg, ripping metal and wires apart as the Jaeger stumbled. Analia's heart leapt into her throat as she watched one of the tails pierce straight through the Jaeger's chest, the sound of tearing metal echoing like a death knell.
"Eject! Eject!" Amara's voice was frantic, her desperation palpable through the comms.
"Ezra!" Analia shouted, her voice breaking with fear. "Ezra, report!"
Raleigh echoed her call, the strain in his voice betraying his own panic. "Ezra, report!"
For a moment, there was only static. Analia's breath hitched as she feared the worst, her hands trembling on the controls. Then, finally, Ezra's voice crackled through. "I'm okay. Amara's shoulder is dislocated, but she's okay."
Analia's shoulders sagged as relief washed over her, tears prickling at the corners of her eyes. "Oh, thank god."
Raleigh's voice, firm but filled with relief, followed. "Get the others and see if you can get Ilya unpinned from Guardian Bravo."
Ezra's response was swift. "Yes ma'am."
Analia took a steadying breath, her resolve hardening as she gripped the controls. Razor Angel's engines roared as she and Raleigh positioned themselves for the next strike.
Analia's heart pounded in her chest, the rhythm matching the pulsing energy of Razor Angel as she and Raleigh prepared for their next strike. Every muscle in her body tensed as they scaled the side of a building, the Jaeger's massive hands gripping the ledges with precision. Through the drift, she felt the presence of Raleigh beside her, steady and sure. Their movements were fluid, instinctual after so many years of piloting together—partners on and off the battlefield.
