If you have read this far, THANK YOU! I am very much enjoying this writing challenge, and I hope you're having as much fun as I am getting to know these characters. They have strangely and beautifully come alive through my writing in a way I've never experienced before, and I'm living for it.
Now, I must deeply and sincerely apologize to all of you. I did not realize when starting this posting journey that Wattpad not only requires you to make an account to read more than two chapters, but that they disrupt your reading experience by forcing you to watch ads if you don't pay for the service (at least on the mobile and tablet versions of the app). THAT IS CRIMINAL! There is very little in this world I hate more than ADS!
So, you have my sincerest apologies for that, and my deepest gratitude if you stuck around despite it.
Once the challenge is over, I might remove the story from Wattpad when I'm ready to do some serious editing, and then post it to an ad-free writing space. Maybe I'll let it live here, too, as this will always be its first home. I'm not sure yet. But I just wanted you to know.
If it wasn't clear from the start, these chapters are based on daily writing prompts and posted (mostly) the same day. They will go through minimal editing passes, but for the most part these are rough draft chapters. Part of this exercise is practicing the craft and sitting down to write every day, attempting to remove my own judgment from my writing and just let the words flow. Those words aren't always going to be pristine and pretty, but I do hope to at the very least tell a fun, cute story with characters that feel alive and believable. Whether or not I succeed is up to anyone to judge. But if you're along for the ride, I appreciate it very much!
I've been a bit sick and a lot busy, so I'm playing catch-up now, but I hope to be back on schedule very soon. In fact, I will have to try to get ahead of schedule as I am going out of town October 26 - November 2. I am determined to finish this challenge, though, whether it be early or late, so you can bet there will be at least 31 chapters to this before it's over!
