"Session one: Christopher Sturniolo." A deep voice echoed throughout the dimly lit room. Hunched over in one of the chairs was Chris, the bags under his eyes were a dark shade, bruises tinted his skin, and his lips were cracked with a small scab from a previous altercation. His whole demeanor was almost unrecognizable.

He watched the woman in front of him shuffle a few things before settling in the chair opposite of him. It was all scary to the boy, having to record everything from the past few months that he has so badly tried to forget.

"My name is Agent Hirsch, and I will be the one in charge of this series," She spoke into the recorder, "So, Chris."

Chris hesitated before lifting his head up slightly, his eyes wondering in all directions.

"Do you think you can start from the beginning for me?" Hirsch asked, but her tone didn't help calm the younger boy down in any way.

They locked eyes for a brief moment before Chris looked back down, his lip starting to quiver.

After not responding to her question, the woman spoke up once more, "Chris, I would like you to try your best, alright? For the sake of everyone."

"I..." His words trailed off as his mind began to drift off to those times, just like he was living through it all over again.

The agent, noticing his hesitation, decided to bring in another topic before they could get into the heavier ones, "How about this. Where were you born?"

"Bos..Boston."

"Nice, I was born in France." Chris' eyes flickered to the woman in confusion.

"How many siblings do you have?"

"Three. Justin, Nick, and-and Matt." He thought about his triplet brothers, wondering how they're doing at this moment, wishing one of them was beside him and telling him everything's gonna be okay.

"Wonderful, I'm an only child unfortunately, yet sometimes I wish I had a sibling bond." Her tone softened, seeming more motherly, and that made Chris begin to relax his posture.

"And how about pets? Any of those around?"

"Just our dog, Trevor."

Hirsch nodded her head, glad to be getting any ounce of progress with the boy.

She let the room have a small moment of silence. The only sound being of their breathing falling into rhythm.

"How are we feeling now, ready to move on to more serious questions?" The agent asked once she noticed a slight change in the way Chris held himself up.

Chris looked up at her before nodding his head. A hint of confidence in his mood knowing he had to get some things off of his chest, also knowing that the presence of his brothers are nearby.

Agent Hirsch neatly placed a bundle of files in front of her, "How about we start from the beginning?"

The boy picked at the skin on his fingers, mentally preparing himself for the long conversation ahead of him.

"How did you meet Valerie Thatcher?"

"How did you meet Valerie Thatcher?"
