Bay looked from Miguel to Mort, she didn't understand anything then Miguel choked out "run." She didn't run she shouted at Miguel " Miguel! MIGUEL!?". She was scared. Then suddenly Miguel pounced on her, she screamed and ran to the door. She ran, her heart pumping in her chest, all the way to the lake, she didn't stop there though. She swam to the edge of the lake , dodging the houses on the lake. She stopped at the edge of the forest looking around her, breathing heavily. She didn't she Miguel, then the door of one of the lake houses opened. A middle aged lady stood in a frilly nightie and a silver dressing gown, she had curlers in her hot pink hair. "Bay Whench, from the orphanage, what are you doing here, you live on the--------" she wasn't able to finish her sentence for Miguel had jumped uo from the water onto the jetty that connected the houses, her ripped her apart piece by piece until thete was nothing left but a few blood stains. Bay had covered her eyes with her fingers for this bit and once the air was silent she peeked through her fingers. Nobody was there, she pulled her hands away from her face completely, she noticed now what Miguel was and what he had done, she noticed that Miguel was the spirit monster that killed all those people, Bay noticed she had fallen in love with him. Then she was pulled back into reality by a high pitched scream. Bay looked up to see a little girl climb out the window and jump into the lake, she swam towards Bay a look of terror on her face. "Miss, there-is-a-monster-in-my-room!" Wailed the girl, she was clutching a small doll to her chest.
"Its ok, whats your name?" Bay asked the girl, looking around for Miguel.
"Ava Mordelle." Said Ava, holding on to Bay's night dress. Just when Bay was about to tell Ava her own name she saw Miguel emerging from the lake house. "Ava, run to the forest, I'll follow you in!" She shouted at Ava, but Ava didn't go until she saw Miguel.

Miguel saw Bay. His vision was blurred and hazy so was his hearing. He always heard muffled sounds of terror but now he could could hear Bay he smelt her, but her didn't want to eat her. He dropped to his knees before Mort crowed to signal eat of 'dinner'. He choked and spluttered then in the distance he heard Mort crow. He breathed in and out then got to his feet slowly and shakily. He felt his eyes watering they always did this afterwards but now it was mostly tears of joy and sadness. Joy because he didn't eat Bay and sadness because although he didn't know the people he ate, he still ate them. He looked at Bay and she looked back. They were on the edge of the forest now. He ran to Bay, she backed away crying.
"Bay, its ok, I'm back to normal!" He said, tryimg to sound some what cheerful but failed for he was crying too. He tried to hold her hand but she jerked away.
"Miguel, GO AWAY!" She shouted, backing away.
"Bay I won't hurt you." He sobbed. Bay looked at him tears in her eyes.
"Okay." She breathed. How could she not believe him, he never lied, he never told her anything but he never lied.
"Why---" Bay started to say but Miguel put his hand up and she understood that he needed time to get back to normal. Miguel started walking towards the forest. "Miguel, where are you going?" She asked him grabing hold of his blood stained shirt.
"Forest can't stay here." Said with out stopping.
Bay followed him obidently, though she wasn't to keen on tje forest at all. Things lay in the forest, creatures like Miguel.
