Today was different. I don't know how to explain it, but there's this new tension between us. Klyde's been spending more time with me lately. My friends are all saying the same thing: "Elle, ano na, kayo na ba?" I always laugh it off, but in my heart, I'm starting to wonder if there's actually something there.
Earlier, while we were hanging out after class, he did something unexpected. He brushed a stray strand of hair behind my ear, and for a moment, we just stood there-quiet, but everything was loud inside my chest.
Then he smiled at me, that soft, teasing smile of his. "You know, Elle, you're pretty cute when you're not ignoring me."
