Dear Diary,
So, I've been avoiding Klyde for a while now, and he's noticed. I wasn't prepared for what happened kanina. We were in the hallway, and as usual, I tried not to look at him. Bigla siyang lumapit. He smiled at me-parang wala siyang idea sa awkwardness na nararamdaman ko.
"You've been ignoring me lately, Elle. May ginawa ba akong mali?" he asked.
And then it happened. I blurted it out. "Isn't your girlfriend waiting for you?"
Napakunot noo siya and then laughed. "Girlfriend? Wala akong girlfriend. You mean my sister? She just got back from the States."
I couldn't believe it. I felt so embarrassed. His sister?! All this time, I thought... I mean, how was I supposed to know? He never mentioned he had a sister!
And then, he did something that made my heart skip a beat. He smiled softly and said, "So that's why you were ignoring me."
