Chapter -20

Y/N POV•

So, freaking suffocating. Sitting inside the court room I felt so smother like the 'Hulk hugging me' is an understatement. I had lost the count of sighs that I've been exhaling for past thirty minutes. I was sitting after two rows on the right side, beside me was Seokjin and the offenders were seated on the left .A lawyer was blabbering about the sins committed by the guilty party. And everybody paying attention and actually looks interested in the blabbering.

And here I was so bored of repeatedly eyeing the judge sitting majestically, listening to the lawyer with a super serious expression. God! Please somebody tell him how funny he looks with those white silky curly locks, big moustaches and the most comical part was the sullen look he was wearing.

Taking a glance at Seokjin, his eyes were centred in the front repeatedly moving from the judge to the lawyer. Hello! Mr. What's so intresting there? Yeah,the  lawyer was so handsome that I almost forgot Jungkook for a good two minutes.

My head turned to the front once I heard Seokjin's name left from the lawyer's mouth.

" Kim Seokjin alarmed the department and we were lucky to capture these culprits." He finishes off.

" Hybrids have almost the same rights as all of us, they can be a teacher, doctor, model whatever they desire for. They can live freely or get adopted by a human or live with a human without any adoption...if the hybrid is a deadly one  then we have centre for them where they get all the facilities and essentials needed, this law came out last year..Are you aware, Baek Hyun?" After some shuffling the Judge spoke to the main culprit, standing inside the wooden box.

His face looks so disgusting, he was the leader of them.yeah, the main villain. Jungkook told me about his cruel punishments. So he's the bastard who used to punish my sweet baby. An ugly mark was ruining half of his face, like somebody scratched his face badly. He deserves this, hell he deserves much more punishments for his sins.

Not a word.

He was silent, still not looking guilty at all, standing in the bending position with his hands placed on the wooden bar supporting his body. His eyes look empty like he lost something.

" The white lion hybrid, it was the result of your experiment right?" The assumption was true but still the Judge formed it like a question. This time his face jerked up.

" Yes, that was so hard... the experiment, everything went downhill since he escape." He spoke like he was getting interviewed.

" Is there any female producer?" The judge asked. He shakes his head in denial.

" We were still trying ." He spoke.

" What was the motive of the experiments and the brutal uncountable deaths of those innocent hybrids you pulled on?...what did you get?"

" With all due to respect, we're superior. Humans made them. Sir, hybrids are the result of our experiments we have all the fucking right to do whatever we want with them and the law is just so stupid we need to change it."  Baek Hyun uproar.

He's so sick. Trying to make us understand his disgusting theory, fucktard no one is stupid here. The Judge maintained his calm posture meanwhile the lawyer looks so worked up like if they were somewhere else he would have thrown him out of the universe.

" You're the stupid one here". The lawyer spoke.

Now this is so interesting. I was no more bored.

" Silence".

"  That White lion..he killed five dog hybrids he's deadly and still outside somewhere...the police is still after him.. your experiments are disasters." The lawyer spoke.

My inside churns up as I imagine him away from me. Jungkook didn't kill anyone. He told me and I  believe him.

"My lord! Seokjin told me his friend, a deer has been experimented by them too... she's present here." The handsome lawyer spoke.

Baek Hyun ears perked up, a deep scowl appeared on his face.

" Where is she if you're present please stand up?" The Judge spoke.

I stood up with trembling legs, please don't pee.

Baek Hyun eyes met mine and the scowl erased.

Ayo! Bitch, remember me now.

" What happened how you ended up in their base?" The judge asked his eyes twitching with curiosity.

" I was returning home by a cab..My home is actually on the hill side quite away from the city...I remember that the driver asked me for water saying he felt dizzy so I handed him my bottle, I think he mixed up something cause when I drunk from it, everything blackout...and when I regained consciousness I found myself inside the base."

Yeah, I was definitely stupid for handing him the bottle, but my soft side got me cause he really looked so pitiful.

" What experiment you pulled on her?"  The judge asked.

" What the hell now, who's she? I don't even know her." Baek Hyun spoke looking nonchalant.

Everyone's eyes turned towards me. Are they thinking I'm lying. I was nervous cause everyone was so silent waiting for me to defend.

" Excuse me! You bastard I remember correctly seeing you there bossing around." I snapped.

" Look my lord! I've been cooperating really well till now...I accepted everything I did and I know in the end I'm going to get a death sentence, I don't have any reason to lie to you."

"Then who the he-"

" Silence".

I was breathing like a predator and felt like spitting on his face.

" Say the truth. " One of the prosecutor command.

" Why would I lie... I-"

" You're lying Baek Hyun ." Everyone got shocked after witnessing that the voice was coming from the guilty party." A man stood up. He was the doctor who helped me to escape from there. Yeah, we ran together from our death.
