As I slowly stirred awake, the first thing I felt was the warmth of his strong arms wrapped around me, his body molded perfectly against my back. The weight of his presence was comforting, anchoring me in the quiet moments of dawn. I rubbed my eyes, blinking away the remnants of sleep, and turned over to face him. He was still fast asleep, his chest rising and falling in soft, rhythmic breaths. His hair was tousled from the night, wild and messy, but it only added to the effortless perfection, even in sleep.

I couldn't help but smile, a sense of peace settling over me. Leaning in, I gently pressed a kiss to his cheek, savouring the warmth of his skin against my lips. He stirred at the touch, his sleepy eyes remaining closed as he instinctively pulled me closer, his arms tightening around me. With a soft grunt, he kissed me back, his lips brushing against mine lazily, still caught in the haze of sleep.

Neither of us said a word, but the unspoken connection between us hung in the air—intimate and quiet. Wrapped in his arms, everything else faded away, and for just a moment, the world outside ceased to matter.

Memories of last night flood my mind, vivid and intoxicating. I can still feel the strength of his body pressed against mine as he pushed me gently but firmly against the bedroom wall, his lips crashing into mine with a hunger that felt urgent, like he'd been holding it in for years. His hands had wandered down my body, knowing exactly where to touch, where to press, sending shivers through me as his mouth devoured mine.

The way he whispered my name between kisses, the low, breathless way he'd say it, made my legs weak, and when he picked me up—just like he used to—there was no hesitation, no second-guessing. The room had blurred around us, but nothing else mattered. He carried me to the bed, repeating the same wild passion that had been cut short earlier, our bodies moving together as if we had never been apart. The urgency, the need—it all came rushing back.

Now, as I lay here, his arms still around me, his breath warm on my neck, I can't shake the feeling of contentment, like something that had been missing was suddenly back in place. My fingers lightly trace the outline of his shoulder, brushing over the smooth skin. He stirs slightly at the touch but stays asleep, completely at ease in a way I haven't seen him in years.

I bite my lip, memories of Cole creeping back in despite myself, adding a layer of confusion to the comfort I feel in Robins arms. Last night with Cole had been a blur, a tangled mess of emotions that I hadn't had the chance to unravel. My mind drifts to the sight of him soaked on that bench, and the guilt tugs at my chest, but I push it down. Here, with Rob, everything feels simple. It feels right, or at least, it feels like it used to.

But nothing about this is simple, not anymore.

As if sensing my thoughts, Robin stirs again, this time waking more fully. He stretches, his hand moving from my waist to my face, gently brushing my hair aside as his sleepy eyes finally open to meet mine. His lips curl into a lazy smile, and he pulls me closer, burying his face in my neck.

"Morning," he mumbles, his voice rough from sleep, his breath warm against my skin. His hands slide down my back, and I feel a soft kiss planted on my collarbone.

"Morning," I reply softly, running my fingers through his messy hair.

We lay there in silence for a while, the warmth of the morning sun starting to peek through the curtains, casting soft light over the room. I feel his hand lightly tracing circles on my skin, his touch gentle but possessive, as if he's afraid I'll disappear if he lets go.

But in the quiet of the room, reality begins to creep back in. The weight of what last night really means. The complications, the questions we've both been avoiding.

Finally, I find my voice, though it feels fragile in the space between us. "What happens now?" I ask, my hand resting against his chest, feeling the steady thrum of his heartbeat.
