In the dimly lit war room, Thomas stands before Emperor Alec Lightwood, his heart racing as he prepares to deliver urgent news. The weight of the information he carries feels heavier than ever, and he knows it could change everything.

"Alec," Thomas begins, his voice steady but laced with concern, "there's something you need to know about Edom."

Alec halts his pacing, turning to face Thomas with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension. "What is it? Is it about the war?"

"Yes," Thomas replies, his gaze serious. "Edom was in danger during the war, but the situation has changed. We've won, and Edom is safe now. However, they don't know that yet, and neither does Magnus."

Alec's expression shifts from curiosity to alarm. "What do you mean? How could they be in danger without us knowing?"

"While we were focused on our battles," Thomas explains, "James said that that would attack magnus in this way they could get also Edom . But now, they are no longer in danger. The war is over, and they have no immediate threats to contend with."

Alec's shoulders relax slightly, relief flooding through him. "So, Edom is safe now?"

"Yes, but Magnus doesn't know. " Thomas answers, his voice firm. "If he finds out that Edom was in danger, he may feel compelled to return or put himself at risk. We can't allow him to do that. He's already been through so much."

Alec takes a moment to process the information. "So you are saying that it's a secret between us ."

" Yes , he deserves to know also" Thomas replies, his tone calm but urgent. "But if we tell him now, he might react emotionally and rush back to Edom he is safe for now so we don't have to worry ."

Alec nods, the weight of the decision pressing heavily on him. "Then we keep this to ourselves. For now, Magnus remains unaware. We can't let him know ."

" Yes he is like a friend to me I don't want something bad will happen to him " Thomas suggests. "We'll watch him without making it obvious."

Alec agrees, his mind racing with thoughts of Magnus. "I won't let anything happen to him. He's suffered enough. I want him to heal and feel at home here."

Later they move in the tranquil garden, sunlight filters through the trees, casting dappled shadows on the cobblestone path. Alec sits on a stone bench, his heart racing as he thinks about Magnus. He is lost in thought when Thomas approaches, sensing his unease.

"Hey, Alec," Thomas says, settling next to him. "You seem deep in thought. What's on your mind?"

Alec sighs, running a hand through his hair. "It's Magnus. I worry about him. He has been through so much, and I feel like we are at a crossroads in our relationship."

Thomas nods, understanding immediately. "You mean the next step? The one that could change everything?"

"Yes," Alec admits, his voice barely above a whisper. "I want to move forward with him, but I can sense that he is scared. He's been hurt before for me, and I don't want to push him into something he's not ready for."

Thomas leans back against the bench, considering Alec's words. "It's understandable. Magnus has faced a lot of pain. But you know him better than anyone. Have you talked to him about how he feels?"

"I try," Alec says, frustration creeping into his voice. "Every time I bring it up, he changes the subject. It's like he's afraid of what it might mean for us."
