Charlie knew she made a mistake wandering out during an Extermination.

Satan, what was she thinking?

Charlie walked down the street of
Pentagram City. She had to make peace with the exterminators! It was the only way her people would survive!

She found the exterminators alright, but they didn't want to discuss peace.

Charlie yelped as the exterminators shoved her against a building. The back of her head hit the bricks.

Sure, she could've fought back. But she wanted to show the best of herself.

The exterminator pushing her against the wall chuckled. "Bene habemus filiam Luciferi. Occidamus eam!"

The other exterminator shook his head, placing his hand on the other's shoulder in fear. "Futuram reginam occidere non possumus. Non etiam daemon. Peribimus et Armagedon ex proditione orietur."

The exterminator scoffed and shook his friend's hand off his shoulder. "Fine. Sed hoc pretium est in proditione patris."

The exterminator put his hands on both sides of Charlie's head, before jamming his thumbs into her eyes. Blood dripped out heavily from her sockets and onto the pavement below.

Charlie screamed in agony as she grabbed the exterminator's wrists, trying to pull his hands off of her. The exterminator smirked and pulled his hands away.

The exterminators stepped to the side, allowing Charlie to fall to the ground, covering her eyes with both of her hands.

She screamed and cried into the air, desperately, hoping that maybe her screams would help heal her eyes.

... but they didn't. And Charlie's eyes were permanently damaged by an exterminator one Extermination Day afternoon.
