“So, Princess Charlotte,” Alastor grinned. “what if I told you that your dream could come true?”

Charlie gasped sarcastically. “I can have eyes again!”

Alastor chuckled. “I meant your ACTUAL dream. This hotel! I want to help you run it.”

Charlie scoffed before halting, Alastor was pulled back as their arms were still intertwined. Charlie clenched her mobility cane in her hand. “I listen to the news. I know that taking in your services come with a whole lot of bullsh-!!”

“Sssh.” Alastor quickly covered Charlie's mouth, much to her chagrin. “Now, I ask you to keep your royal stature by not cussing.” Alastor removed his hand. “I should explain myself better. Sure, I don't believe in redemption and am only here looking for entertainment…”

Charlie gave a confused expression. “Why should I believe you? Besides, why would you try to help a blind princess? Most people LAUGH at me. Is watching me struggle to find a door really your idea of humor?”

Alastor placed a hand on Charlie's shoulder. “Isn't your whole idea to give second chances? Trust me. Helping you is my second chance.”

Charlie sighed. “I guess it's to help yourself sleep at night by helping a blind person. Alright, you got it. But NO trickery OR deals. In fact, as Princess, I order you to help out for as long as you desire. I'm not taking shit from other demons.”

Alastor shrugged, smirking. “Fair enough.”

Honestly, Alastor wasn't sure why he was being so nice. But something about the princess's physical disability made him feel…. protective.
