CHAPTER 4

OPHELIA

"Are you okay?" The voice said as I look up to see the same guy at the front gates of the castle then I was in disbelief by the sight of him

"What are you doing here?! You wanna get killed or something?!" I said to the the cloak guy who was wearing it all musty and icky... honestly the color is horrible!

The cloak guy ignore me at first by looking around the area then back at me
"I'll explain later for now,I'm sorry"
"Sorry? Sorry for what-" in a blink of an eye,he pushed me away until I hit the ground then he made a run for it through the castle hall making me speechless

I heard running from behind,it was the guards shouting at the other guards to catch that cloak guy
I wasted no time then I sprint into action by chasing after the guy but I stopped at my tracks when that guy stumbled on a crack spot making him fall

How clumsy is he...?

The guards arrived and they grab the guy without resisting them
Usually if someone was captured by the guards they would run but he didn't even flinch when the guards took him
"Unhand me at once! I have the rights to go everywhere I want!" The cloak guy said while I was curious about who it was

Who is he? A murder? A spy from the enemy land? A witch?
Thoughts running in my head

"What in the world-" I was cut off by the one of the guards from earlier while he looks at me sternly
"What are you doing? Get to the royal room now!" The guard ordered me sternly as I quickly ran to the room that he asked me to but one problem...I WAS LOST!

I quickly ran to every room,I even accidentally opened the men's washroom since they all shared it
I've seen everything...
Everything!
I'm so dead after this...
After a few minutes I finally found the royal room with the guards looking at me confusedly then I fix my hair and my armor dress while I went to the king and queen

King Theodore Fulter and Queen Jessica Fulter,the rulers of Green Heart...dad used to tell me about them sometimes but I only remember the names than their background

I was now in front of the rulers of the land before courtesy and bow my respect to them and I introduced myself
"Uh...good evening ,your majesty's,I'm Ophelia Winston the knight and royal advisor that you requested me" I said with pride and joy while I stand up straight at them

King Theodore looks unamused by my presence and he started to complain about my arrival
"Who hired a girl to be the knight? Isn't she supposed to be a maid?" He said out loud making the other guards laugh at me but I wasn't embarrass though it did hurt my pride a little
The knight dream was mine due to the influence of my late dad but I didn't want to be weak especially not in front of the highest rulers of all the land

"Silence, everyone" a voice was heard when I look to see it was the Queen
Queen Jessica ordered everyone to be quiet making me smirk a little bit
"Don't say such thing, welcome Ophelia and yes I chose her" she said making my heartbeat increase nervously at her reveal

Why did she chose me?...
Oh my she actually choose me!

"Why darling?" King Theodore asked looking unimpressed by a girl being a knight before queen Jessica stood up from her throne greeting me by taking my hands in hers
"Because I wanted a girl in the castle and she's beautiful than I ever imagined, also a friend for our son"
Queen Jessica said making I blush lightly at her statement and I couldn't resist to smile nervously at her

But wait...a friend for their son?

The king just reluctantly nodded in understanding to his wife and the mood, it was interrupted by the guards with the cloak man being handle by them

"Your majesty's,we caught him running out again" the guards said before they pulled the cloak off form him and my eyes widened slightly at the sight of a nice well brunette with his hair messy,his hazel eyes shined under the dim lights of the windows from the castle and a devilish smirk with his dimpled shown at the moment

"You moron!" King Theodore said and he got up from his throne as he went to the guy with an angry look on his face

The queen tried to stop him until a slapping sound echoes in the royal room making everyone stunned at the scene, the king held the cloak guy by his collar and queen Jessica stopped him by grabbing his arm
"Honey stop!" She said but he pushed her away making her stumbled back slightly but I managed to caught her just in time before she reached the ground

The king stopped what he was doing to the guy and he pushed him down on the ground with a loud thud before coming towards the queen
"Darling,I'm sorry forgive me-" the queen ignored him when he begged for forgiveness and she went to the guy helping him get up on his feet, dusting him off from the dust of the ground

"Are you alright?" She asked nicely with a soft caring tone like a queen should say then the guy nodded in response to her statement
"I'm okay mother,as always..." The person in the cloak said making my eyes widened in shock when he said the word

Wait mother?!
He isn't,no no no!
the guy who I just bumped into just now by the gates and in the hall
WAS PRINCE DARIUS?!
THE PRINCE OF GREEN HEART AND I ACTED LIKE A BRAT TO HIM?!
