CHAPTER 3

OPHELIA

finally...after that night long ride,I made it to the land of Green Heart with Maximus. I got off from maximus while feeding him an apple from my pocket just in case since he was really hungry after that long walk

I guided maximus from his leash and we both look around Green Heart's village seeing it was nicely build and a few friendly folks who greeted each other and me
It felt good to be treated nice for once in awhile

After a few more of long walking we finally reached the castle of Green Heart...the Royal Fulter
I read so much about this land and royals when I was little with my dad,he would always told me the secrets of what's happening inside of the castle and the secret spots that is fun to sneaked in once in awhile

Me and my noble steed were now at the front gate of the castle and I was shaking like hell
"We're actually here maximus! Like actually here ,oh god pinch me- OW!"
I screamed in pain once Maximus stepped on my foot while I look at him with a frown forming on my face

"You stallion,you stepped on my foot!"
I said to him as I pushed his head away from me teasingly but it did bought me back to reality and I was really here...
Standing in front of the royal gate with pride and anticipation for the lands and kingdom

I stepped closer before I knew it sn arrow was shot from my side but I managed to dodge it,in one swift movement since the trajectory was poor while I look around to see a boy,not just any boy.

He was tall, wearing a cloak and he was giving me a glare with that brown hazel eyes of his under the morning sun with mask on.

"Who are you?" He said while he had his arrow on his now ready to shoot me but I knew he was holding it wrong to the point his knuckles were red from the elastic string hitting them

"Better be careful how you hold that bow,cause if you do it again your knuckles might bleed due to the pressure"I said to the man with a small smile on my face then I noticed a little twitch on the corner of his eyes while he lowered his bow at me .

"Touche milady, may I know the lady doing here with her trusted steed?" He said teasingly making me scoff

I lifted both of my hands up while refraining Maximus from kicking the guy and I showed him my scroll that I got
"I'm here for the knight job,what are you doing here?"
I said to him before he gave me a scoff and he walked towards me
Maximus was ready to kick him but the guy grab my scroll and reading it carefully

"So you're the new knight huh? A girl?" The guy said looking at me from top to bottom and scoff at the moment , handing my scroll back and he walked away from me then he looks at me

"Do you have a problem with girls?" I snarked back at him,he chuckled at my snark the turning towards me
"You're a brave girl for being a knight...you have my up most respect" he said

"Alright but who are you?" I asked him
I noticed another little twitch on the corner of his eyes then he place a finger against the mask while looking at me
"You'll know soon" he said and with that he disappeared near the forest of the castle leaving me stunned at the when he left out of the blues

"Weirdo...he came out of nowhere" I said to maximus, gently caressing his main while a voice interrupted us

"Who are you?"
I turn to see a royal guard guarding the gate and I bow in respect to the person and handing the scroll to him
"I'm here for the knight and royal advisor for the prince" I said proudly and the guard hand the letter back to me not dare to look at it

The guard signaled his comrads to open the gates and it did...loud metal sound making Maximus scared but I calmed him down by caressing him gently on his maine
My job dropped at the sight of the big castle in front of me with the other guards working around the castle

"Let's go get you suit up" the guard in front of me said and leading me inside of the castle but before that I went to the royal stable and leaving maximus there for the time being while I followed the guard to get myself suit up

We both made inside of the castle and god... it's just like I imagine,thrones , tiaras,crown everything! The decor and structure are remarkable astonishing as I have ever dreamed off
We kept on walking until we made it to my assigned room in the castle and the guard handed me my keys to my room

"This is your room and be ready in an hour to meet with his majesty" the guard said before he excuse himself out of my room while I ran to the open window admiring the view of the castle and village itself surrounding by the many greens of the trees

I look around my bedroom laying down on the bed feeling nervous and blood rushing but I composed myself and I turn to the closet in the room
I opened it and seeing a nice dress with armor protection on it and I got myself suit up for the day

"It's beautiful!" I exclaimed excitedly as I look myself in the mirror with my armor on
The dress fitted me perfectly,I felt the nice breeze on me and I got my hair ready in a ponytail to make myself presentable at the moment

A new chapter of my life begins now...
I got out of my bedroom door and I got bumped into a massive wall making me stumbled back a bit but he managed to grab my wrist

"Are you okay?" A voice said and I recognized that voice before

I look up at the person seeing the same cloak he wore while my eyes widened in shock seeing it was the same guy who was at the front gates of the castle...
