(So here we go guys,

Starting from the last chapter....... Where we saw Dadi sa's breakdown, )

After a while, she continued, but now no more mistakes. (she stood up determinedly) I will not let this family break apart. And no more injustice will occur in this house anymore. I swear on our love that I will even give up on my life, but will not let anything wrong happen to any of my children. I will protect them as shield from every problem. And that’s promise to you from Kaveri Poddar.

(with a determined look she took the matchstick keep near the puja thali and lit the holy lamp).

All this while, Madhav had been staring at her mother blankly. His heart wrenched to see her mother like this. This was a lot for revelations that he faced today. And he was deeply shaken by their impact.  He didn’t know how to react. He felt like his whole life was a lie. He had never hated his mother. But neither had his relation been well with her. Whatever he understood all his life was a lie. He always doubted that his mother truly loved him, she cared for him, and she loved his son. And after seeing her today, he was sure of it.

He looked at his father portrait inside the room. And one look at his father was enough to tell him what he had to do now.

Without any second thought he went inside the room and back hugged his mother tightly. Dadi sa who was still not completely out of her emotional breakdown, was startled by the sudden warmth she felt on her back. Without even turning she knew who it was. She whispered,” Madhav! ”

Madhav, who had never let his guards down in front of his mother, was drowning into the much needed warmth of her mother. A lump formed in his throat at the thought that his mother recognized him without even turning to see who it was.

Of all these years, the emotions he held crashed over him with a fury of hurricane. And for the very first time, he did not stop. He let the tears roll down for now he has a comfort to hold onto; he had his mother beside him to calm him down. Both mother and son cried their heart out. No words were required between them at this point, for the silence worked more effectively. Both sobbed in the same position over a while. And when they got hold upon themselves, Madhav hugged his mother tightly.

He started to blabber out things to a still sobbing Kaveri, while himself still in a vulnerable condition. Who gave you right to go through all this all alone? I am your first born na, so why did you never asked me to accompany the pain with you. Why did you kept me away from my mother? Who gave you the right to make me and my mother cry daily , carving for each other presence? Why did you never made me realize the wrong I am doing to myself and you? Why maa sa why? (he cried)

Kaveri’s heart wrenched seeing her child in this state. She hugged him and calmed him down, continuously muttering sorry and telling him that she love him a lot.

Finally after a long while they were able to gain control over themselves.

Madhav was the first one to say, Maa sa whatever happened has happened. We have no control on it. We can never change it. But we can make sure, that from now on the things will get better.

Dadi sa nodded in agreement, she continued, I had did a lot of mistakes and injustice to a lot of people in the house. But now I will rectify each and everything one by one. (she folded her hands) I am really sorry beta for whatever I had done. But trust me for a last time, I will make everything right.

Madhav, holding her folded hands replied, I trust you with all I have maa sa. I just pray that everything will eventually get better.

He continued sadly, maa sa, all my life I had loved both my child equally. And never discriminated between them. They both are my lifelines maa. But it is heartbreaking to see how they can’t see the pain I undergo when they both ignore me. You know maa sa, now I understood why god did this to me. I am repaying for the karma I did with you. I am getting the same pain. Neither had I been a good dad nor a good son maa. (he broke down again, crying hard)

Kaveri scolds Madhav, dare you say anything like that about my son! Who said you are not a good dad? You are a great dad. You have always stood along with your children when they need you the most. And most importantly you are TBP of your daughter.

Madhav looked confusingly at his mother, waiting for explanation.

“THE BEST PAPA”, she replied chuckling also earning a little chuckle form her son.

She continued, You are the best son in the world. But yes, not as good as Arman. (Cracking a little laughter herself, and earning herself a small chuckle from Madhav)

Everything will be fine at the end. You will get united completely with your family, I promise. We both together will make everything right?

Madhav nodded determined to take every measure to give his family the happiness they deserve. Together they stared at his father’s portrait, feeling his blessing with them.

Little did they know that all this was witnessed by another pair of eyes, who were continuously crying. Those eyes had witnessed something that was unexpected. It was hard to believe what those pair of ears had heard. Of all the years of life, what that heart had heard, the mind has accepted, this was as hard as diamond to accept. It seems that the world had collapsed upon that person.

That heart felt so heavy, that the mind doubted whether the blood vessels will burst under the pressure. It was too much for that petty little soul to bear. It was literally too much. All the revelations held today came as a lightning bolt with such a voltage, that the poor soul was too stunned to even say something.

That well-built body just wandered around the corridors of the mansion lifelessly. How much cruel can life be to someone? And what was the wrong done to undergo such pain? The mind wondered. The corridors which had been crossed by the feet zillions of times, felt like coming closer to eat the pure soul alive.

All this was too much for the body to bear. And eventually the body collapsed on the ground along the show piece kept on the nearby table with a loud thud.

                                   To be continued........

Who do you think that person was?

I am not good at writing emotional stuff and all but i really believed that Madhav and Kaveri needed to mend their relationship. I am not whitewashing Kaveri here. But i am just trying to give her character a much needed clarity.

Hope I stood upon the expectations.

Stay tuned for more.

Thank you alot for the love you all provided❣️
