1K READS. AS PROMISED, I WILL PUBLISH A DABI FANFICTION IN 2025 AFTER I FINISHED THIS ONE. ILYSM <3

A/N: Guys I prob will reread through all the shit I've written in 2 months because I have no idea what already happened and what not. And to edit some characters because some of them are ooc (due to my own sleep deprivation and lack of motivation sometimes) AND the length bcs WTF 8 hours till the TRAINING CAMP ARC?!?!?

And I'm having a writer's block and actually forgot that two or three weeks have passed since my last chapter instead of one. SORRY T^T. (I literally forgot how to write HEELP. Expect different qualities in this chapter) It's showing that english isn't my native language.

When the writer's block hits that hard that you have to pull out classical music and add a backstory:

I just realized how long it took me to get to the training camp arc. Probably will summarize the canon events more because y'all all know what happen.

word count: 9036 words (longest chapter so far)

next update: in 2 weeks bcs I'm failing my native language bcs of english fanfics.

your backstory will be separated into different "Acts" through different chapters since I have no idea what I'm doing anymore and it's fuckign long.  THE REAL I-ISLAND ARC WILL BEGIN WHEN THE ITALICS ARE OVER AND THE NORMAL STYLE IS THERE. Or so bcs idk how to form that sentence.

I'm sorry for everyone who hates Melissa. It's only one chapter so either skip or endure.

TW: you might seem unlikable in the beginning. It's the past, duh. Oh and trauma. THE REAL I-ISLAND ARC BEGINS AFTER THE ITALICS

Act 1: the story of two girls

The nausea of flying through oceans made your mind feel as if it was made of pudding, swirling around while you had a hard time preventing yourself from throwing up.

It was the first time you had ever entered a plane, not to mention that you never went on holidays before or on outsea missions. It wasn't exactly a mission either.

The money and the promise of providing you the care needed to keep you alive was what brought you onto a fancy plane all for yourself, lying on one of the couches and hunching over to get over the unfamiliarity of flying.

At that time, you weren't aware of the abilities of your quirk yet.

The aircraft slowly sank to the ground, the motion making you feel as if you were on a rollercoaster, or at least you imagined it to be like that since you were never on one before.
