Chapter 6: Alex and Kevin get Shocked

The sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the campus as Alex and Kevin strolled side by side, still buzzing from the energy of the music club meeting. Alex walked with his usual confidence, hands casually tucked into his pockets, but inside, he was grappling with a mix of emotions. Leading the meeting felt good. I actually pulled it off. But did I come off too strong?

"Dude, I think tonight went really well," Alex said, glancing at Kevin, who was practically bouncing on his feet, a whirlwind of excitement.

"Seriously! Did you see how hyped everyone got when we played that new song? It was like a mini concert!" Kevin exclaimed, gesturing animatedly as if trying to relive the moment right there. Alex couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm. He always knows how to make things feel more vibrant.

"Yeah, well, it was a team effort," Alex replied, trying to downplay his role, though the compliment warmed him. But maybe I do deserve a little credit. It wasn't easy getting everyone together like that.

As they crossed the campus quad, where laughter and music floated through the air, Alex's mind flickered back to Wiyan's compliment from the stream. Pretty? Seriously? No one's ever called me that before. He shook his head slightly, trying to clear the thought. Focus, Alex. Just enjoy the moment with Kevin.

"Dude, you should totally keep this vibe going!" Kevin leaned in closer, lowering his voice conspiratorially. "I mean, we could make the club a thing! Like, bigger than life! Everyone would want to join."

"Yeah, and then I'd be stuck organizing events every week. No thanks," Alex said, chuckling lightly. But the truth was, he was intrigued by the idea. What if we could actually make this happen? It could be fun... if I don't burn out first.

As they approached the main building, Kevin's expression shifted, a playful glint in his eyes. "Hey, speaking of the club, did you notice how Wiyan was totally checking you out tonight?"

Alex raised an eyebrow, pretending to be unimpressed. "Seriously? You're still on that?" But inside, he felt a flutter of confusion. Why is this still a thing? I mean, he's just... there. I don't even know him!

"What? I'm just saying!" Kevin laughed, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "It's a good thing. You've got options, man. Embrace it!"

"Yeah, yeah," Alex muttered, but he couldn't shake the feeling of flattery creeping in. Options? What does that even mean?

As they reached the building's entrance, Kevin nudged him playfully. "C'mon, don't deny it! You've got a little crush, don't you? It's cute!"

Alex shot him a glare but couldn't help the smile that tugged at his lips. "You're ridiculous. I don't have a crush on Wiyan." Do I? The thought caught him off guard, and he quickly shook his head again. "I barely even know him."

Kevin grinned wider. "And yet, you can't stop thinking about him. Just admit it! You like the attention."

"Attention? It's annoying!" Alex protested, crossing his arms defensively. Okay, maybe it's not annoying... but I don't want to admit that.

Kevin leaned in closer, a mock-serious expression on his face. "Look, I'm just saying that it's good to have a little fun. You should flirt back! See where it goes."

Alex scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Flirt back? I'm not looking for a relationship. I have enough on my plate." And who says I even want anything from him?

"Hey, relationships can be fun, too! Just think about it!" Kevin winked, still playfully nudging him. "But fine, I'll drop it for now. But I won't let it go forever!"
