'Do you think your sister will like me?' Georgia asked as Nate paced around his kitchen, waiting for his sister and her family to arrive.

'Of course she will. You're a very likeable person.' Nate said, pecking her on her lips. Georgia smiled softly at him, smoothening out her dress. Then the doorbell rang.

Nate rushed to the door and he was greeted by his sister who gave him a huge bear hug. Hallie clutched onto her big brother tight as she pulled away and grinned at him.

'Hey you. You ok?' Nate asked as Hallie nodded, taking Leo off Edward's hands and plopping the 1 year old boy into his uncle's arms.

'Nathaniel.' Edward greeted curtly.

'Edward.' Nate said pursing his lips before turning to his nephew. 'Hey Lee!'

Leo giggled breaking the tension between the two men. He reached out his chubby arms and wrapped them around Nate's neck. Hallie shook her head at the two as she cooed at Leo.

Georgia popped out of the corner and gave Hallie a small smile before engulfing her in a hug. Hallie looked taken aback but she hugged Georgia back being the nice person she was. Edward's eyebrows furrowed as he stared at the blonde girl hugging his wife.

'And you must be Edward!' Georgia smiled, engulfing him in a hug as well. Edward stood there frozen as he awkwardly stood there until she pulled away. She then grinned at both of them before reaching out to take Leo out of Nate's arms. The boy shook his head repeatedly and kicked his legs, not wanting to be handed off to a stranger. Hallie instantly jumped into mama mode and took him and kissed his forehead, calming him down.

'Ah he'll get used to me.' Georgia said. 'I'm Nate's girlfriend. I'm Georgia.' she smiled as she went back into the kitchen.

'Who was that?' Hallie asked politely as the 3 sat down in the living room.

'My girlfriend.' Nate said as Edward reached out and squeezed Hallie's hand. 'Georgia Harris. I met her at the gym.'

Hallie nodded as Nate sat next to her and looked her in the eyes. 'I promise she's nice. She was very excited to meet you.'

Leo had started to become a bit cranky and was whining, biting his finger. He was teething and he always needed to be biting on something. Edward sighed taking him and giving him his pinky finger too bite and Leo seemed satisfied as he bit on it contently.

'Dinner?' Georgia asked as she re-entered the kitchen but with her apron off. She was wearing a very flowery pink dress, her hair was down and the dress suit her beautifully, complimenting her figure and chestnut locks.

Hallie was wearing a casual jeans and sweatshirt as she had become incredibly insecure of her body after having Leo. She had her hair up in a bun, looking gorgeous but as she took in Georgia's appearance she looked under dressed.

They filed into the kitchen and Georgia had practically made a feast. Hallie could NOT cook. She had tried once and ended up burning half her hand. Nate and Edward made her promise never to step foot in a kitchen again. Another point Georgia was proving to be better than her.

'So Hallie... Nate tells me you're a social worker.' Georgia asked, trying to make small talk. Her eyes lingered at Edward trying to feed Leo.

'Yes I am. Where do you work?' Hallie asked, sipping her water. Nate smiled, glad they were making conversation.

'I'm a fashion designer. You know, I made this dress myself.' Georgia said, indicating to the dress she was wearing. 'I could always make you one, but then your body shape isn't really... right for a dress.'

'Oh yeah. But dresses aren't really my thing.' Hallie said. Georgia nodded, wiping her mouth with a tissue.

'I can see that. Coming back to that, how long has it been since you've had your boy?'

'It's been a year, he's so energetic, pulling on literally everything he can fi-'

'Oh yeah.' Georgia said interrupting her. 'If you went to the gym once in a while, you could lose all that fat.'

Hallie instantly bowed her head and Edward held her hand and squeezed it tight.

'I think she's beautiful the way she is.' Edward said, kissing Hallie's head.

'Edward, you're a teacher? You know I've always loved my men who wore suits to work everyday.' Georgia nodded as she ate a forkful of chicken. Nate was sensing something was wrong with Hallie. She was playing with her food, something she did when she was nervous. Sure, Georgia shouldn't have made that jab at her body but she hadn't said it in an evil intent.

Edward smiled a false smile at her, 'I actually wear a button down, trousers and a cargo jacket.'

Georgia snarked back, 'I imagine you would just be more handsome.'

Hallie grit her teeth and tried to keep her anger in check. Who was this woman making jabs at her husband?

'Calm down Georgia.' Nate said, gently touching her arm. Georgia gently kissed his lips and Nate kissed her back and when she pulled away she touched his cheek before turning back to Hallie and Edward to continue her interrogation. How couldn't Nate see through this woman?

Hallie and Edward remained quiet the rest of dinner, giving short and snappy responses to Georgia's never-ending questions.

'Nate, I'm going to head home.' Georgia replied curtly after Edward had given her a simple 'no' as a response after she asked him if he ever considered teaching Science.

'Thank the lord.' Edward muttered as he rolled his eyes. Nate threw him a look before turning to Georgia.

'Babe, you don't need too.' Nate said as Georgia walked towards the door, slipping her coat on.

'It is obvious your sister and brother-in-law do not want me to be here.' Georgia said as she stormed out of the house and drove away in her car. Nate clenched his fists as he went back inside to find Hallie filling his dishwasher.

'Seriously Hallie?' Nate cried as he entered the living room and smashed a plate to the ground. Luckily Leo was asleep and was an incredibly deep sleeper.

'What's wrong?' Hallie asked as she stared at the broken plate then back at Nate.

Nate scoffed, 'YOU! She was so excited to meet you and you were so rude to her!'

'Hey! Don't you dare scream at my wife!' Edward warned grabbing Nate's collar.

Nate grunted before he slammed his fist into Edward's nose. Ed let go of Nate's collar and clutched his nose. Hallie ran over to them and examined Edward's nose as Nate flexed his knuckles which were turning purple.

'If you are going to accuse me and hit my husband, then we're out.' Hallie said as she took Leo and gave Edward a tissue.

'You can't be serious.' Nate muttered as Hallie and Edward exited the house and got into their car. He knew had messed up the moment his hand collided with Edward's nose. Severely.

'Oh I am.' Hallie nodded as they slipped their coats on.

The moment Hallie got into the car after buckling Leo up at the back she burst out into tears. Edward let out a low sigh as he let go of the tissue on his nose and picked Hallie up and held her to his chest as she sobbed.

'I didn't mean to say that to him. I love him, he's one of my favourite people.' She choked out as he rubbed her back, muttering soothing words to her.
