Hatter was happy to see me, we sat catching up for thirty minutes until there was a knock on the door and people came into what looked to be a meeting room that we were all sitting in. A bunch of people came in, and I look at my Uncle Aguni.
"Jinx, these are the executives of The Beach, Hatter waves towards them and they all turn to look at me and I give a small wave, I've invited them so we can see what cards you had together.
I sigh and pull the cards out of my pocket, I pass the hefty pile to Hatter and his eyes widen in glee when he sees them.
"Wow, great job Jinx." Hatter speaks as he looks through the pile. "7 of hearts, we don't have that one... 5 of clubs, 8 of spades, 4 of Diamonds. He has many we don't have!" Hatter says excitedly.
A woman clears her throat." Im An, how long have you been here?" She asks me and I nod acknowledging her name.
"I'm not too sure, around four months?" I question, there was a around a month that I lost track of time, I was low and hit rock bottom, I wanted to die but wasn't willing to kill myself, I was hoping to die during a game, but luck wasn't on my side, or maybe it was, An hums.
"That's a lot of cards for only 3 months." A smooth voice speaks up from further down the table and I meet eyes with a blond man wearing a white hoodie.
"Chishiya." He introduces himself.
"I played more than 3 months of games, I like to stack up my visas." I tell him and Hatter pats me on the back.
"Smart kid, how many days do you have?" he asks and I do the math in my head.
"27 days."
Hatter laughs." Aguni! You should be proud, you have a smart Nephew!" Hatter says and Aguni smiles at me.
"Alright! For now, Jinx will bunk with Chishiya, until he is tested and given a number, but for now, relax, and enjoy your time here at the beach, I'm sure Chishiya can tell you the rules." Hatter speaks and I nod along, Everyone stands as I walk over to Chishiya, who gives me a soft smile.
"I'll show you to our new room." he says as we walk together.
"Hey, wait up!" I freeze at the sound of footsteps running towards us and look back to see Niragi.
He steps between Chishiya and I, and wraps his arm over my shoulder.
"Your uncle wants me to keep an eye on you while you're here, he doesn't trust Chishiya to keep you safe." At that, the shorter man scoffs.
"Would I be able to go to my old place? I have things I would like to collect." I ask them both as we stop at a door, that Chishiya opens.
"The doors don't lock." Chishiya tells me and I nod.
"I'll have to ask Hatter for permission, and I'd have to go with you but yeah, I don't see why not." Niragi says removing his arm from my shoulder as I look around.
Chishiya points to the bed closest to the door. "That's your bed, The dresser to the left is yours too, I don't have many close so if you need more dresser room, you can use mine." Chishiya says and I sigh as I sit on my bed and play with my fingers. I can feel both men staring at me.
"There are rules here." Chishiya says and I nod."Rule number one, you must always wear swimsuits at the Beach. Rule number two, all playing cards belong to the Beach. Rule number three of the Beach, is death to the traitors."
"Doesn't sound too hard to follow." I speak up and Niragi plops down on the bed next to me.
"The best part of The Beach is that we are free to drink, take drսg, or even hɑvе sеx! Feel free to enjoy your life to the fullest." Niragi says grinning at me as he tucks a blue strand of hair behind my ear.
"Enough." Cheshiya says with a blank face, "Let him rest." Chishiya says to him and Niragi scoffs and rolls his eyes before standing.
"I'll get you some bathing suit bottoms, you should join our group at the pool tonight, and meet some people."Niragi speaks as he walks towards the door, he gives me one last wave before walking out.
I turn to look at Chishiya to now realize he's been looking at me the whole time, I blush and he smirks.
"Um- can I shower?" I ask and he nods.
"Knock yourself out, you can use my soap, This place stays running with gas-powered generators, and we get water from the rain." Chishiya says and I nod as I walk him walk over to a dresser, he digs around and then passes me pink swimming bottoms.
"Thanks." I thank him before going into the bathroom.
I sigh as I look at myself in the mirror, I strip from my clothes and shower, when I'm done I change and wonder how my uncle is gonna take it when he realizes both my nipples are pierced. I sigh thinking about pulling out the mettle then decide not to, we're not in the old world anymore, and he won't disown me for having them.
I walk out and blush when I see a tall girl, she's gorgeous with doe brown eyes and dreadlocks in her hair. She's shorter than me but taller than Chishiya, she smiles at me and I scratch my neck my blush getting redder.
"Sorry to disrupt, but I heard someone new was here and couldn't wait to say hi." She says and I look down.
"H-hi." I stutter out and she aww's making me turn to my bed to hide myself.
"Your right Chishiya, he is cute!" The girl says and I groan softly to myself.
She giggles and swings my body back around." Im Kuina." She says grabbing my hand.
I shake her soft hand back." Jinx." She hums as she examines my nails that the blue polish was chipping off.
"I have nail polish, we can paint each other's nails." She says excitedly and I give her a soft smile.
"I would like that." I tell her. The door swings open and I flinch as it slams into the wall and I take a few steps back with wide eyes, I jump as my body hits another and an arm wraps around my waist and gently rubs my stomach.
Niragi walks in and I let out a tension-filled sigh.
"Niragi, don't act like an animal!" Kuina snaps
Niragi looks at me with wide eyes then breaks out into a grin as he drops a pile of swimming trunks onto my dresser.
"I would have never expected for you to have your nipples pierced." Niragi says and I blush with a shrug.
"Hatter says we can go out to get your stuff, Aguni and Last Boss will be joining us, your uncle is very protective of you." Niragi says and I nod.
"He always has been, with everything that went on at home Aguni worried for me." I tell him honestly.
"What happened at home?" A voice asks from behind me and I blush realizing I'm still in Chishiya's arms.
I clear my throat and walk out of his arms and instead sit on my bed, with a shrug.
"B-bad stuff. Aguni took me from my Dad when I was 16, when I turned 18 Aguni "disappeared", I thought maybe he got sick of me, ya know? Maybe he didn't want me around anymore so he left, after a year and the cops not finding him I figured he didn't want to be found. Then I got here, and I found him." I tell them as I play with my fingers, I pick at my cuticles making spots of blood rise to the surface. Kuina grabs my hands.
"Did your dad hurt you?" I close my eyes tight as flashes of what my dad used to do to me flash through my head.
"I don't want to talk about that." I say standing, my breathing picks up.
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry." Kuina says and pulls me into a hug, she rests her head on my shoulder and I frown, and with a sigh I relax into her arms.
