THE DARK PROPHECY

LEO

It had been a while after the Giant War and Leo was still nowhere to be found. Little did everyone know that Leo was actually camping out with Apollo, who was now a mortal called Lester, if you would believe it. And Calypso, whom he had recently freed from Ogygia. He was planning to go back to Camp Half-Blood next week, after he had satisfied Apollo in tagging along to find Meg McCaffrey, who was his demigod master. Leo had tried to send many other holographic scrolls, just like the one he sent telling all his friends that he was still alive a week ago. It suddenly hit him that Nico would've felt his death, but he had come back to life, would Nico feel that too? He wasn't sure.

A few days passed and the trio (Apollo, Calypso and Leo) were getting ready to go to Camp. Leo was very excited to see all his friends again, but the scroll he sent invited them to hit him for being away for so long. He was not ready for that. He felt particularly bad for leaving Harley, he always looked up to him and he was usually so strong. Leo dying must have caused him severe distress. He hoped it wasn't too bad...

NICO/WILL

Nico was walking with Will around camp. Will had wanted to take a walk together, but Nico couldn't get Leo out of his mind. He had this strange feeling about him. "Hey.. Will?"

"Yeah Nico?" Will replied, his blue eyes shining.

"You know how Leo is dead?"

"Yeah...?" Will's eyes weren't shining anymore.

"I'm very sure I felt it, Leo dying, but I have this weird feeling that he isn't really gone."

"Oh? That's strange." Will frowned. Then, he looked behind him, as if he heard something, "Uh.. Is that.. Rachel?"

Nico whirled around so he could see was Will was looking at. He had to tiptoe slightly because of the trees but then he saw her, running from the Big House all the way to them. "Yeah, she is. wonder why she's in such a hurry."

Rachel had finally got to them, but she was so out of breath she couldn't form a proper sentence. "Leo," she panted, "He's not-" More panting. Will interrupted and told Rachel to sit down and catch her breath until she could speak properly. After giving her some nectar, the tiniest bit so she doesn't burn up, she stood up and continued. "Nico, did you feel Leo's death? Like, 100%?" She said to Nico, her piercing green eyes looking at him urgently.

"Uhm.. yeah, I did. Why?" he replied, confused.

"Well, basically, he sent Chiron a holo- a holograph-"

"A hologram?" Will asked, trying to help.

"No, no, that's not what Chiron said. Wait a moment it'll come to me. My head's been really foggy lately. Oh! Yes. A holographic scroll." she said finally.

"Like an Iris Message?" Nico said.

"Yes, in a way, you could say that." Rachel replied. "Well, Leo sent one to Chiron and he watched it, and- well.. it showed Leo! It said he was still alive and he'd be coming to camp this week. " Rachel got a sudden smile on her face. "And.. he's said that we are all allowed to hit him for being away for so long!"

"Oh. My. Gods." Nico said, trying not to scream. Leo had faked being dead? He should've come back straight away! Why didn't he? Why did he make us grieve him? WE HAD A DAM FUNERAL FOR HIM.

Will, noticing Nico's anger, quickly whispered to Rachel and told her to leave. He started reassuring Nico about how he was sure Leo was sorry and he probably won't do it again.

Later that night, Nico was still angry about Leo, even after all the happy meals Will had bought him to cheer him up. Will then had another idea. He hoped it would work.
