Vinnie and Y/N met at a music festival, where they both happened to be backstage. Y/N was there to support a friend performing, while Vinnie was capturing content for his social media. They bumped into each other while looking for the same food truck, and after a few playful exchanges about their favorite snacks, they quickly discovered a mutual love for music and gaming. As the festival unfolded, they spent the day exploring the grounds together, bonding over shared interests and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.

By the end of the event, they exchanged numbers, excited to see where this newfound connection might lead and they've been joined at the hip ever since. So when Vinnie texted Y/N about not feeling well her first instinct was to drive over to him and make sure he's okay.

The familiar creak of the door echoed, and she stepped into the warm, inviting space. The scent of freshly brewed coffee hung in the air, mingling with the faint aroma of something sweet baking in the oven. Her eyes quickly scanned the room, landing on Micheal, Kovur, and Mia gathered around the table, deep in conversation.

"Hey, sorry to just barge in," she said, a sheepish smile on her face. "Is Vinnie here? He left his keys at my house, and he mentioned he wasn't feeling well, so I brought him some stuff." She held up the colorful bag of medicines, feeling a mix of concern and hope that it would help him feel better.

The group exchanged glances, their expressions shifting from surprise to hesitation. A tension hung in the air, thick enough to cut with a knife.

"Vinnie's upstairs," Mia said softly, her tone laced with an odd mix of sympathy and something else Y/N couldn't quite place.

"MIA!" Micheal shouted, his voice bursting with urgency. "Y/N, wait! Don't go up there!"

"Is something wrong?" Y/N's brow furrowed, worry creeping into her voice as she took a cautious step toward the staircase.

Before anyone could respond, Vinnie and another woman appeared, descending the staircase together, their laughter bubbling over like a joyful melody. But as they caught sight of Y/N, their expressions faltered, morphing from carefree smiles to shock. The moment stretched, a palpable silence enveloping the room as Y/N stood frozen, her mind racing to decipher the unexpected scene before her.

"Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't realize you had company," Y/N stammered, her cheeks flushing as she awkwardly handed him the bag of medicine, her heart sinking a little. The warmth of the cozy house felt suddenly cold as she turned to leave.

"Baby, it isn't what it looks like, I promise," Vinnie said, desperation lacing his voice.

Y/N felt a swirl of emotions—confusion, hurt, and a flicker of betrayal. "I came to bring you this because you texted and said you weren't feeling well. I'm just gonna go," she said, trying to keep her tone steady as she quickly walked out the door, the evening air hitting her like a sudden chill.

"Please don't leave. Let me explain," Vinnie called after her, urgency in his footsteps as he chased her outside.

He caught up to her just as she reached the front steps, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her close, the familiar scent of him enveloping her like a warm blanket. Y/N's heart raced, her mind still tangled in uncertainty.

"It's okay, I shouldn't have come," she whispered, her voice barely audible, filled with a mix of longing and doubt. Her and Vinnie had never established what they were and weren't so she tried her hardest not to seem upset.

"Please, listen, I didn't do anything, I swear." Vinnie's voice softened, his breath warm against her ear as he held her tighter, grounding her in the moment.
