_______a few months later
"And that concludes today's lesson, please remember to complete this week's module before Friday as I will not be grading late assignments." Jeongguk's education professor warned before giving them all a pearly smile. "Have a nice day, students. Only a few more weeks until the spring semester is over! Some of you are even graduating, so give yourself enough love."
Everyone gave their thanks as they all began to pack their items and sprinting out of the room, Jeongguk taking his time as his phone buzzed, alerting him of a new message from Jimin.
Wanna eat out tonight?? My treat, I got a big payment from my job today. Bring TaeTae too.
Jeongguk chuckled at Jimin's message before replying with a thumbs up emoji, strolling out of his classroom into the hallway, students resting on couches near the doors, waiting for their classes while others chatted by the vending machines and others walked with headphones on, minding their own business.
Sometimes it was mundane moments like these that Jeongguk realized how much he had grown. This was a dream of his that he was walking in right now, his younger self had dreamed of going to college and here he was, doing that exactly.
Jeongguk took a deep breath as he pressed a button for the elevator to lead him downstairs, heading out of the campus since this was his last class for the day. Wednesdays were his simple days since he only had one class, and Wednesdays were a day that he could spend with Taehyung since this was Taehyung's day off.
Once off the elevator and into the courtyard that was swarmed with students out in booths and groups mingling over lunch, Jeongguk had a clear path towards the arts and liberties building where he already saw his boyfriend waiting for him outside, staring down at his phone while sipping a chilled smoothie since Jeongguk knew his boyfriend preferred those over coffee.
"Tae!" Jeongguk exclaimed happily, his heart doing a mini flip the second Taehyung glanced up, all of his attention on his approaching figure, god Taehyung's boxy smile was so gorgeous.
"Hi, beautiful." Taehyung complimented shyly, not too used to saying such lovely endearments out loud, but since they have professed their relationship more firmly, Taehyung was beginning to naturally do such things.
"Hi." Jeongguk said again, ears burning as he stood next to his boyfriend, on his tippy toes as he pressed a chaste peck to his cheek. "Were you waiting long?"
"Don't worry, I was studying for one of my presentations later this week. You know I don't mind being on campus waiting for you." Taehyung claimed, smiling as he wrapped an arm around Jeongguk's waist, giving off to anyone passing by that they were a couple.
Jeongguk giggled, clearing his throat to appear calmer. "Let's get goin' then, did you perhaps get a text from Jimin hyung?"
"No, I didn't. What did it say?" Taehyung asked, putting away his phone so he could hold Jeongguk's waist and still drink his drink.
"Jiminie wants to treat us to dinner since he got paid good money and I really wanna go since we haven't eaten a good meal in like, three weeks."
"True, we've been surviving off of instant meals and ramen for so long, I think I forgot how cooked meat tastes like." Taehyung groaned playfully, making the younger one laugh and poke his side.
"I told him we're coming, but we'll cover drinks then, I feel bad for not paying for the meal."
"Good idea, Guks. When are we meeting him?"
