"Be careful," I say, scolding Myra  as I walk over to the bed and helping her rest her back on the headboard. "Do you need anything?"

"No," she replies.

I sit beside her and rest my head on her shoulder. It has been ten days since Myra woke up from the coma. Thirteen days since Myra showed improvement. I'm so glad Sohail had come to visit her. And I do have an inkling, Myra might have feelings for him. I'm not gonna ask her right now, but I'll definitely ask her when she gets better.

A little while later, she asks, "What do we have for lunch?"

"Rajma rice."

"I'll have that."

"Okay," I say, getting up from the bed and amble to the kitchen. Opening the pots lid that is sitting on the stove, I scooped out warm rice on the plate and poured rajma on top of the rice. Grabbing a spoon from the drawer, I walk back to the room and hand her the plate. I sit on the bed, with my legs touching the footboard. I fidget with my legs waiting for her to finish.

"I'm done," Myra says. I get up and forward my right hand to grab the plate from her. Mrya doesn't loosen her grip from the plate. "Thank you for taking care of me, Nairu."

I nod with a grin. Her hands loosen the grip and I get hold of the plate. "Tu rest kr. (You rest.) Doctor ne strict rest krne ko kaha hai. (The doctor told you to rest strictly.)" I warned her.

I go back to the kitchen and made a lunch plate for myself as well. Sitting on the dining table, I gobble up the meal. The house feels so empty with Misha gone to daycare. Ruhan Bhai is probably doing physiotherapy right now.

I put the dirty dishes in the sink and start scrubbing them. The put the final freshly rinsed plate in the dish rack when the doorbell rings. I wash my hands and wipe them with a towel. I jog to the foyer and open the door. Papa pushes Ruhan Bhai's wheelchair in and roll in to the living room.

"What did the physiotherapist say?" I ask as soon as Papa sits on the couch.

"The doctor said he's showing signs of improvement," Papa replied. Thank God. "And Sharma's called. They said they've fixed Mithya's rishta (alliance) with someone else." Papa's shoulder's drooped.

"What? Mithya and Bhaiya didn't even decide if they wanted to move to another rishta," I say. That's so unfair on Bhai. I looked at Ruhan Bhai, he just gave me a small smile.

"Can I get a glass of water, Beta?" Papa asks.

"Yeah. Bhaiya do you want water?" I get up from the couch and look at him.

"Yes, please," Bhaiya replies. I walk to the kitchen and grab two glasses from the cabinet. Pouring water into the drinking glasses, I close the water filter dispenser. After that I walk back to the living room and hand them the glasses.

My phone chimes, I get my phone out of my back pocket. It was a notification from Tinder, telling me I matched with someone. I click the icon, opening the app. To my shock, I got matched with Kartik. As I looked at his profile, butterflies danced in my stomach.

I swipe accept. I send him a text:

Me: You didn't tell me you were on Tinder?

Nah. I delete what I typed.

Me: Didn't expect you to be on Tinder.

☁︎

Barsati Mendak 🐸 : You don't own the dating app.

I chuckle and begin typing a reply.

Me: Yeah, but I didn't think of you to be on a dating app.

Barsati Mendak 🐸 : Well, your assumption has been proved wrong.

Me: Touché. When and where do you want the date to be?

Barsati Mendak 🐸 : Date?

Me: We've been matched and I am okay going on a date with you. If you are hesitating because of my brother. Then don't. Your and his relationship should not affect what we have. Unless you don't like me. But you've also swiped up. So that means you like me as well. *smirk emoji*

Barsati Mendak 🐸 : I'll send the address. But why are you on a dating app? I'm here on the purpose of finding a life partner.

The image of Kartik with a sherwani on as he puts the varmala around my neck, while I am dressed as a bride pops up in my mind. Blush coats my cheeks and I squeal.

Me: I'm here for the purpose of finding  a life partner as well. I've decided to move on.

Barsati Mendak 🐸 : Cool!

Barsati Mendak 🐸 : Cool!
