Kai:

It was just past noon, and the usual buzz of Phaedra Academy was in full swing. I was hanging out in the cafeteria, nursing a cup of coffee and scanning the room for potential targets. The students were milling around, chatting, and going about their business. As usual, I was on the lookout for an opportunity to stir things up. It wasn't that I had a vendetta against anyone in particular—it was just the way I operated, a way to assert control and make my mark.

But today, the focus of my attention was Elena Hart. Since our forced partnership on the community service project, I had taken a keen interest in making her life as difficult as possible. It wasn't personal; it was just how I rolled. The more she squirmed, the more fun I had. And it didn't hurt to show her that being a prodigy didn't make her untouchable.

I spotted Elena across the room, sitting with Jenna and a few other students. They were engaged in what looked like an animated conversation. Jenna's face was bright with a smile, and Elena was laughing—a rare sight these days. It was clear that Jenna had managed to crack through the cold exterior Elena had so carefully constructed.

I couldn't help but feel a twinge of irritation. I'd been trying to make Elena's life difficult, but seeing her so at ease with someone else was a little annoying. Jenna seemed like a genuinely nice person, and their friendship was starting to become a bit of a roadblock for me.

After finishing my coffee, I decided it was time to put my plan into action. I had a new prank in mind, one that would be both irritating and embarrassing. I knew Elena had a big presentation coming up for the community service project, and I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to strike.

As I walked towards the library, where Elena often worked on her project, I noticed her and Jenna huddled together at one of the study tables. They were deep in conversation, and Elena seemed to be relaxing for the first time in a while. Jenna's laughter was genuine, and Elena's smile was one of the few I'd seen that wasn't forced.

I stopped at a nearby corner and watched them. Jenna seemed to be giving Elena advice, and the way they interacted made me wonder just how close they had become. Elena, the prodigy who had always seemed so distant, was actually letting someone in. I could tell Jenna had become a source of support for her, a fact that only fueled my determination to disrupt things.

I made my way to the library's supply closet, grabbed a roll of tape and some plastic wrap, and headed back towards Elena's study area. The plan was simple: wrap her textbooks and important documents in plastic wrap and tape them to her desk. It wasn't anything overly destructive, just enough to cause some frustration and delay.

With practiced ease, I went to work. It took a few minutes, but soon enough, Elena's materials were wrapped up tightly. As I was about to make my exit, I noticed Jenna walking back towards the table. I quickly ducked behind a row of bookshelves, waiting for Elena's reaction.

"What's up with all the plastic wrap?" Jenna asked, sounding puzzled.

Elena looked confused as she approached the table and saw her textbooks and documents encased in a thick layer of plastic. Her eyes widened in disbelief.

"No way," Elena said, her voice laced with frustration. "Who would do something like this?"

Jenna immediately glanced around the room, her gaze darting from one student to another. I could see her frowning, clearly worried about the impact this might have on Elena's presentation.

"Maybe it's just some sort of prank," Jenna suggested, trying to be supportive. "But it's going to make it tough to get everything ready."

Elena sighed, clearly annoyed. "Of course, it's a prank. Who else would it be?"
