I was reading Fahrenheit 451 and I realized that a lot of stories that we were told when we were young were full of Hope.... Everything holds a happy ending because that's what we as children all looked for in our futures.
And then we grow up and realize all the evils out there in the world and we come to realize that not everything is all rainbows and butterflies. Especially when you're a teenager, you feel like you're living your life with major ups and downs. One moment you can be so happy and elated, and another moment you're sad and depressed. And all it takes is a matter of seconds.
I think that's why some people like to read dystopian/utopian books, because they can relate to the fact that the main character is in some way hopeless and has to over come that and other obstacles to achieve their own happiness.

I know that's why I'm writing my book. To show how these few kids have nothing left, have nothing to look forward to, and have nothing to look back on to keep them going, yet they keep moving forward and live for everyday. They make the most of every moment, or at least tries to. They are trying to find their lives again, to find a way to make themselves happy in all the chaos that's occurring around them. And while they try and find themselves, they also try to help others in need. Its a book of humanity, humility, hubris, family, and discovery.

I'm not sure why I'm saying all this, but I like to believe that words matter. That words hold some meaning and insight to a person out there and it helps them in some way. So....... Write what inspires you, what you hope and dream for, what you want people to read and it changes their mood for the better. Write to create a change.
