"Say something, Azura"

He kept his eyes on the road and the speed slow. He was trying to prolong the time as much as possible withot making it too obvious.

"Why did you name me Azura?"

He didn't expect her to ask that out of everything. Not when he had a dead body lying in his car trunk. She didn't know that though.

"You know why"

She knew. It was Ellis himself who had told her the reason. That he wanted to be sky where she paints with all her blues. That he'd be always there when her demons got the best of her. That she could go to him where there were no demons.

"But then why did you leave? Why did you tell me to never follow you? You said you'd always be there but then why did you leave Ellis?"

She still couldn't believe she was having this conversation with her. That for once he let speak whatever she wanted. Just like those times. He's once again there, listening to everything she says, giving answers to everything, making solutions to all her problems. He was present and it was him again. The Ellis she wanted back.

"I shouldn't have left you like that. I'm sorry" and he did seem sorry. Sincerely sorry.

"I should have explained myself but trust me Azura, I had too much on my plate at that time. Amy had just moved with Jennie and I had my finals going on in college and then the raid and the law and everything. But I shouldn't have snapped at you like that. Forgive me"

At that moment, she wondered, only if he had asked for forgiveness like this on that night, when she had panic attack. Only if he had stopped her from going out with West and made her listen to him, then would she still have stayed awake on that night and the next night? Would she ever have figured out about the letters? Would they still have had that fight?

Only if he had given her the chance to speak on that night, only if he had stopped her on that night, then woudl they still have been here? On his car going to God knows where?

Only if....

But he had now. He had told her sorry and he was still explaining and he was giving her the chance to speak. If he had stopped her that night then things might have been a lot different but he didn't and that's in the past. She couldn't change the past but she could use this chance he was giving her. So that she didn't have to regret later on.

And that's why she asked him. The question which was bugging her the most. She asked him that.

"What's happening Ellis?"

"Emilia is dead. We've lost the game"

So the gunshot....

If Emilia was dead that meant the next in line was Ellis and Jennie.

Horror filled her system and she could feel her stomach churn at he thought. They had lost it. They were gonna die. Her brother was gonna die.

But why was everything so normal? Why was everything so peaceful? The serial killer had won and people were gonna do but why was there no chaos? Why wasn't everything falling apart? Why no on had any care?

Because no one knew.

Was it always like this? She remembered all the times when she heard the crime stories from her dad. The times when she thought how everything was too typical and it lacked storyline. All the times when she judged the stories by their twists and got bored by the bored ones.
