In the cold winter, there lay a small, wooden hut in the woods. It looked messy with the wood even rotting;whoever lived here certainly didnt maintan the outside of the hut and it seemed they didnt maintain the inside of it as well. The hut looked so worn down, many would have assumed it was abandoned, just like a certain peculiar fox that discovered it.
The fox went in the hut through a small hole in the rotting wood and tried to look for a place in the hut that could provide it warmth. It eventually found a spot where there were no gaps to let the icy wind touch it so it settled there and tried to get comfortable. It soon shut it's eyes after it got into a comfy enough position to sleep in.
As it slept, the owner of the place finally returned home after chopping down some wood. They got the pieces of wood and started to use it to close up as much of the holes the hut had, and used the remaining pieces as firewood. They sat close to the fire to warm themselves up after spending quite a while in the cold. After a considerable amount of time just staying near the fire, they got up and began to cook their dinner.
The fox who was sleeping started to open it's eyes as it noticed how warmer the atmosphere seemed and the new scent. It was then, that it realized, it was not alone and that this place wasnt abandoned at all!
The fox carefully stood up and peaked out in the open from the place it slept. It paused as it saw...A human! Oh dear! It must get away as quick as it can!
It started to sneak back to the location where the small hole it went through was, but as it arrived there, the hole was boarded up. Seeing this, the fox slightly panicked, it must find another way to leave! It turned around and began to try to find another hole in the wood, but just like the one it used to enter, it was also boarded up
"Oh? What do we have here?" The fox turned around quickly to see the human and got into a defensive position, baring it's teeth as it growled "Quite a scrawny little thing...I'm sorry but you cant stay here" They said as they poked the fox with a long stick, trying to nudge it to the door.
The fox bit the stick and started to claw and tug at it. Seeing this, they carefully lifted the stick while the fox was biting down on it and slowly moved the fox to the door. The human opened the door and threw the fox out. It snarled at the human before walking away;trying to find a new place to stay to shelter it from the cold
