The fox was wandering around the forest in search of meat. Obviously it couldnt kill the rabbit family that has helped it find berries and what not but that was not enough for the fox.

While in its search for flesh, it heard a loud bark. It was no mistaking it, it was definitely a dog.

The fox instantly behind a large rock. The bark was quite faint meaning the dog was quite far so it shouldnt be able to smell or see it yet. If it was a hunting dog, the best option would be to sneak way, but if it was not, then it would most likely attack the dog to eat it.

The fox peaked out from behind the rock and saw the dog was not alone. It had a human companion! Oh dear, this was bad, it was terrible! But wait, the human is smaller than the ones the fox has seen, the dog looks old and weak.

The little human had brown hair and had quite a lean body, there may not be a lot of meat on the boy but meat was meat.

The fox soon grew excited at the prospect of eating the small human for they had nothing to defend themself with! The dog was old and wouldnt be able to defend itself and the human so this was quite a win.

The fox was about to go closer to the 2 but a larger human appeared, they were bulky with hair on their face and had an axe.

"Papa! Look! I think old Jack here has found something" The little human said to the larger one as the dog started looking wary and was growling.

The fox froze. The fox has seen an axe before...It saw how those humans would pick it up and hit and chop trees that even bears, one of if not the most fearsome thing it has seen in it's life couldnt knock down.

It scammpered off but the dog barked and followed the fox.

The 2 humans soon followed the dog that followed the fox. The fox started to run faster, if it was ever touched by that fearsome weapon, it would absolutely suffer a lot of injuries or even die!

Luckily, the fox was able to run away from the humans and dog. At least, it thought it had...Suddenly, the dog jumped out from the bushes behind it. Despite it being old, it had a very good sense of smell and was able to track the fox.

The fox panicked once more. Sooner or later, that axe wielding human could be here at any moment and it needed to leave before that happened.
