Travis watched the snow falling from inside the car. Katelyn sat next to him, asleep after almost an hour of driving back to Lover's Lane. No one had said anything since Aphmau had cried herself to sleep after Zane told her what happened to those turned into relics to stop the demon that had controlled him. Aaron couldn't see. Lucinda couldn't use magic. Zane...he couldn't remember anyone's name except Aphmau's and Travis's.

It was strange, and no one knew why. If they did, they weren't saying, as the silence was almost deafening. Travis looked to the front seat where Kawaii-Chan was asleep in the passenger seat. Garroth had taken over driving around the same time Katelyn had fallen asleep.

"Zane, can you remember the person?" Travis finally spoke, looking towards the emo.

"I can, but not the name. We don't know why it's just the name and not the memories of that person. I'm thankful I still remember everything else though." Zane carefully leaned forward, fixing the blanket on Kawaii-Chan and then on Aphmau. "I had to think of a code for everyone. A number for the number of letters in their names."

"That's...smart. I'm sorry I put you guys..." Travis looked away, bonking his head against the window when Zane cut him off.

"It wasn't your fault, Travis. It was that demon controlling you that did everything, and I'm glad it's gone. We don't have to worry about it now, just about our lives." Zane gave him a hard look before making sure Aphmau didn't wake up by accident.

Travis looked at Zane for a few seconds before looking away. Garroth watched them from the mirror and sighed. "Do you guys want any music or a podcast?"

"Can you turn on the news? Aph and I missed a lot while..." Travis shook his head; the brothers shared a glance. Travis still hadn't explained why he and Aphmau had disappeared for seven months after the incident. They weren't going to push; Travis seemed to have gone through a lot. Aphmau seemed like she had been through a lot. She was pregnant, and who knows what else had changed about her.

"Sure thing, buddy." Garroth turned the knob for the radio and flipped through the channels, looking down every so often to see where he was turning. He eventually got to a news channel.

Travis looked out the window, his cheek pressed against the glass, and Katelyn cuddled him in her sleep. Travis looked down and kissed her head, pulling her close. It was quite clear that she wasn't going to let him go for a long while after they returned.

Aphmau woke up a few hours later, wincing softly as she did so. She rubbed her red eyes before looking around. It took her a minute to remember, and she gave a small smile at Zane. Travis was passed out with Katelyn in his arms. Kawaii-Chan had taken over driving again, and she smiled seeing her friend awake.

"Do you need anything, Aphmau-Sama? Kawaii-Chan won't hesitate to get you anything!"

"I'm just a little hungry, but I'm fine, Kawaii-Chan." Aphmau smiled weakly, wincing again as she shifted in her seat.

Zane pulled out his phone, tapping away before coming forward to Kawaii-Chan. "There's a fast food restaurant off this exit. It has some good reviews, so we might as well try it."

"Got it, Zane-Kun." She kissed his cheek quickly before turning off the highway towards where he told her to go. Aphmau blushed, seeing how dedicated her friends were to making sure she was okay.

"It's fine, guys, I don't need anything."

"Please. We haven't eaten since lunch, and I'm pretty sure Four was cooking when she got your phone call." Zane looked back at his phone, scrolling through something that looked like a menu. "Do you want a burger, nuggets, or... You know what, you're getting a party box. It has a good selection of stuff."
