...He doesn't really know how they got in this situation. First of all, Shrimpo was just hanging out in a corner of his aquatic themed room. He didn't even ask to be here, he sorta just... Followed him here. Not that he was complaining! He enjoyed the company, albeit a bit more of a silent presence than usual from the rancorous shrimp. Finn wasn't paying much attention to him, so maybe that's why!

The fishbowl-headed one quickly finished feeding the fish in the tank above the table. Unlike the one in his head, these were thankfully alive. Once he 'fin'-ally wrapped what he was doing up, he turned around. He was immediately greeted with the sight of Shrimpo staring, no, glaring at something.

Finn curiously glanced over where Shrimpo's eyes were burning into. It was the weird, short, wooden cylinder right next to his bed. It was the screw-in cap he wears when he sleeps at night. It prevented water from spilling out when laying down. Finn wasn't entirely fond of the thing. It looked stupid on him and made his head look long. He wished it wasn't necessary. But alas, nothing has lasted as long as it has.

Finn shifted his way over to Shrimpo, ending in him leaning on the wall next to him. He nudged him on the side, quickly earning a scowl on the shrimp's face, but it returned to the cap on his bedside table right afterwards. Finn sighed.

"What is that?"

"Huh?"

"That thing over there." One of Shrimpo's hands peeked over his crossed arms just so he could point at it. He was clearly talking about the wooden cap. Finn should've expected he'd ask; the other didn't let anything pass by him.

"It just covers the top of my head. Prevents spills, y'know?"

Shrimpo huffed at that answer, clearly not amused. He didn't bother looking at Finn as he spoke and furrowed his brows together in annoyance. "You should wear it everywhere. I hate slipping on your stupid water!"

Finn shrugged after that, pretending not to mind it much. In reality, he dreaded the thought of wearing that everywhere. He knows it was silly to be insecure of such a small thing, but he almost wished he didn't have this head, despite his love for water and sea creatures. Why couldn't he have been a clown fish or something?

Finn quickly shook that thought away. The last thing he needed was for Shrimpo to notice and tease him about it. After a small sigh, he looked back over to Shrimpo, but the other looked just about ready to leave. He cocked an eyebrow up at him before nudging him again, bringing the other back into reality.

"Stop doing that!"

"Stop doing what?" Finn couldn't help but smile softly at his aggravation. He felt a small bit of pride when he could get back at the other for the years of bullying.

"Stop touching me!"

Finn quickly realized the other was talking about the nudging. He shot the shrimp an apologetic smile, forgetting all about the quick moment of pride. "Sorry, sorry! Sorta forgot you're a touch-me-not. 'Ink' you can forgive me, bud?"

"No! I hate forgiving people, and I hate your stupid puns! Just answer my question!"

Finn blinked in confusion before letting out a small 'ooh'. Clearly the shrug to why he doesn't wear the cap everywhere wasn't a satisfactory enough answer.

Finn brought a hand up to the back of his neck, anxiously rubbing at it.

"I meann... Do I really need a reason? I just don't like it. It's as 'shrimple' as that."

Finn didn't notice the other's narrowed stare while his own gaze was turned to the side. The way Shrimpo was looking at him with concentration, as if he was trying to get a read on his emotions. What he did notice was the second huff within the past ten or so minutes.
