based on season six, episode five: invasion.

"up, up, up!" richard shouted as he walked into his daughter's bedroom, turning on the lights to wake her up. today was a big day for him. the day of the merge that everyone seemed to be against so he needed his daughter to be on his side. everyone seemed to love her so if anyone could persuade people it was a good idea it would be her.

"oh my god dad, what is your problem?" alara complained, pulling the blanket over her head to hide her eyes from the bright light which was making it hard to keep them open.

"do you know what day it is ally?" he asked, standing at the bottom of her bed and crossing his arms over his chest while looking at her in disapproval.

"i don't know.. tuesday?" she scoffed, throwing the covers back and sitting up against the bed frame, sipping from the water bottle that richard had placed on her bedside table.

"alara." he hissed at the woman who laughed, yawning while rubbing her hands over her face.

"yes i know what day it is. the day of that merge everyone hates but you." alara shrugged at her dad who rolled his eyes making her chuckle.

"god i've got to move out. i can't believe you're still waking me up like this. you know i have an alarm, i wasn't gonna be late." she began to complain to the man who just raised an eyebrow and started laughing.

"i don't think adele will let you leave." he teased before pulling her covers back, forcing her out of bed. "i need you at the hospital early so you can get people on our side."

"on our side?" she screwed her face up at the man who nodded with a smile. "i'm not even on your side, i think this whole thing is ridiculous." she added on, richard swearing under his breath before chucking a cushion at her and leaving the room with a laugh.

alara and cristina were stood at the front of the hospital, watching some of the maintenance crew change the seattle grace sign when two similar looking men in orange scrubs practically jumped on them while running past.

"if that's what all these mercy westers are gonna look like i'm all for this merge. that one with the beard is fineee." alara clapped her hands while cristina screwed her face up and smacked her across the back of the head. "i mean he seems like a total dick, i can't believe they're taking over our hospital in prison uniforms."

"you're a traitor. you know what, i'm not even surprised since your dad came up with this idea." she shook her head at her best friend before storming inside.

alara watched her leave, giggling to herself before chasing after her, the duo entering the resident's lounge a few minutes later to catch izzie in the middle of an argument.

"oh you wanna fight? cause i will." she shouted before lunging at the mercy wester, alara and cristina stood in the corner of the room laughing.

once izzie had been dragged out of the room by alex, alara looked around. she widened her eyes at the ocean of orange in front of her before the pretty boy from earlier came into her line of view.
