They have a nightmare

Bucky Barnes:
You wake up in the middle of the night to find Bucky thrashing beside you, his brow drenched in sweat, mumbling things that send chills down your spine. His metal arm clenches the sheets, crumpling them beneath its weight. You've seen him have nightmares before, but this one feels worse, like he's trapped in something deeper. "Bucky," you whisper softly, placing a gentle hand on his chest, but he flinches at your touch, his eyes snapping open with wild fear before they focus on you. "Doll," he breathes, voice trembling as if he's trying to anchor himself to reality. His grip on your hand is almost bruising, but you don't pull away, instead shifting closer to him. "It was just a dream," you murmur, pressing your forehead against his. His breaths are shaky, his chest heaving as he tries to calm down. "I was back there," he whispers hoarsely, voice breaking. "Back in the chair... I couldn't move, couldn't stop it." You wrap your arms around him, holding him as tightly as you can, trying to shield him from the horrors his mind conjures. "You're here now," you whisper fiercely, pressing your lips to his temple. "You're not there anymore. You're with me, Bucky. You're safe." He nods, though the fear still lingers in his eyes. "I don't know what I'd do without you," he murmurs, voice soft but filled with raw vulnerability, and you hold him tighter, knowing that tonight, he needs you to be his anchor.

Loki Laufeyson:
Loki wakes you with a sharp gasp, his body tensed and rigid as if he's expecting an attack. His emerald eyes dart around the room, not immediately recognizing it as your shared space. "Loki?" you call softly, and his head snaps toward you, fear momentarily replaced with confusion. His breathing is harsh, uneven, and you can tell he's still caught in the remnants of his nightmare. "You were there," he murmurs, his voice shaky in a way that's unusual for him. "You were falling... I couldn't save you." The vulnerability in his tone is enough to break your heart, and you sit up, reaching for his hand. "I'm right here," you say gently, intertwining your fingers with his. "I didn't fall. It was just a nightmare." Loki's jaw tightens, and he looks away, the pain of his dream still lingering. "Nightmare or not, it felt real," he mutters darkly, frustration mixing with his fear. "I hate how helpless I feel in them." You stroke his hand, your thumb brushing over his knuckles in soothing circles. "You're not helpless, Loki. Not with me," you remind him, voice calm but firm. He lets out a heavy breath, eyes softening as he looks at you. "You're the only thing that grounds me," he admits quietly, almost as if he's ashamed of the fact. "And yet, even in dreams, I can't protect you." You lean in, brushing a soft kiss to his lips, silencing his doubts. "We protect each other," you whisper against his skin, pulling him into your embrace, and for the rest of the night, you don't let him go.

Tony Stark:
Tony jolts awake beside you, a rare occurrence that instantly puts you on high alert. His chest heaves as he gasps for air, eyes wide with panic as if he's still stuck in whatever horrible vision his mind conjured. "Tony, hey," you call out softly, but he doesn't seem to hear you, running a hand through his sweat-dampened hair, muttering under his breath. "I couldn't save them... couldn't stop it..." His voice is strained, and you realize this is about that dream again—the one where the world falls apart and he can't fix it, where you're ripped away from him along with everyone else he loves. "Tony, you're okay. I'm right here." You reach out, your hand landing on his arm, but he flinches slightly before realizing it's you. His eyes finally meet yours, the panic still there but fading. "God, it was so real," he breathes out, rubbing his face with both hands as if trying to scrub the images from his mind. "I saw you—gone—and there was nothing I could do." You move closer, wrapping your arms around him, letting him feel your presence, grounding him in the here and now. "You did do something," you murmur against his ear, "you woke up, Tony. I'm still here." He sighs deeply, leaning into your embrace. "I hate these dreams. They make me feel like I'm losing everything I've worked for, like I can't protect anyone." You press a kiss to his temple. "You're always trying to save the world, Tony, but you don't have to carry that weight alone. I'm with you." He lets out a soft chuckle, though the tension hasn't fully left him. "Guess that's why I love you," he says, and despite the fear still lingering in his eyes, there's warmth when he looks at you.
