Prologue

It all started with a missing dog and a misplaced step. One moment, I was chasing after Maeumi, and the next, I was face-to-face with my new neighbor, Kim Tae Hyung-the mysterious, freshly appointed CEO of Woo One Corporation. Our first encounter should have ended there, with me apologizing for trespassing and him brushing me off with the usual coldness that powerful men exude. But life has a funny way of throwing curveballs.

From awkward rooftop run-ins to lingering gazes that I pretended not to notice, the tension between us simmered beneath the surface, unspoken but undeniable. He was a man cloaked in control and precision, his presence filling every room he entered, but beneath that exterior, I could sense something else-something curious, playful, and oddly... drawn to me.

Of course, it didn't help that I, Woo Y/N, was not only his neighbor but also his employee. Every day at the office was a careful dance, trying to avoid his piercing gaze while simultaneously feeling its weight on me. And yet, despite my best efforts, fate-or maybe something more-kept pulling us closer.

A kiss that sparked something deep within me, something I couldn't ignore, even if I wanted to. But as intense as that moment was, it wasn't without its complications. We were being watched. A shadowy figure lurked, unseen, capturing the very secret we were trying to hide.

Now, as I stand on the precipice of something I don't quite understand, one thing is clear-Kim Tae Hyung and I are on a path neither of us can walk away from. And with every step we take, the world around us shifts, drawing us deeper into a web of intrigue, desire, and perhaps... something more dangerous.

But for now, it's just us-locked in a silent game neither of us is willing to lose.
