My eyes open.

The sound of rushing water pulls me from a slumber that had me working to find my lungs, my limbs and even my mind. But instead I sit up feeling nothing, feeling cold inside, feeling nothing but...

I look around. Was I in a different world? The trees around me looked mutated and huge, their branches looking like they were wrestling the others. I was on a river, the ground where I lay covered in black goo.

I look down at my hands noticing angry red veins running up my wrists. Who was I? My ears began to ring, I close my hands over them shaking my head as everything started to crash into my mind in one go.

Something raw in my throat began to hurt something fierce, I heave over throwing up the thick and chunky black goo material that seemed to sit inside me indefinitely. Once the disgusting liquid is out of me, I breath in deeply feeling the air coil into my lungs like never before.

Alive. Whatever I was. I was Alive.

I look down to my bare feet, my colour pale. But what had I been before? My mind is empty my thoughts struggling between fleeting images that made no sense to me.

My body jerked. The feeling in my limbs felt, wrong. So wrong. As if some cruel creator threw me together but did not bother to check what went where.

Curious I move to the water edge looking over knowing that I will see my reflection.

Matted curly wild red hair framed over my face, my eyes were a dead grey color shifting as if I had every control over them. I could zoom in and zoom out in a way that felt unnatural, my hand catches my skull as memories come flooding back.

Aisha- AISHA! I'm Aisha!

I scream jumping back unable to process my features. What? What what what what?

WHAT THE FUCK-

I spin around in horror. This forest was wrong, my hair was wrong. What happened?

I wrench over again my throat causing me so much pain. The same black goo pours out making me sick to my stomach. Grabbing river water I splash the cool liquid over my face and washing away the disgusting substances that seemed to be lodged in my lungs that refused to rack in enough air. My skin was so pale, my eyes were not mine and my once curly brown hair was a strange rusted red.

I stand back collecting my thoughts and my sanity trying to wrap my head round it all. I shake my head.

There was a logical explanation somewhere but if it wasn't going to provide itself now I'll make do. I breath on deeply filling up my lungs that felt old and like I had to physically breath deeper to stretch them.

I was acutely aware that I was stark naked but I didn't focus on that. Instead I paused feeling the muscles in my body that was covered in plants that seemed to have clung to me.

My legs were toned and strong, my back stronger than it ever had been for. Did I die and become a hotty?

I jumped on my feet feeling the surprising ease to lift my body.

I take off running into the forest that looked mutated and alien.
