(Hello everybody I'm recovering from a root canal so please enjoy this Comfort thick and remember to give your plushies a good hug.)
Regressor: Red guy
Caregivers: Duck and Yellow
When Red was regressing nothing would make him happier than his teddy bear. Red always made sure to bring his bear everywhere he went. When the trio was eating you can bet that Reds bear was sitting there with peanut butter smeared on its fur. And when they were playing games they always made sure to give it a turn. Even during baths, the teddy bear would sit by the towels patiently waiting while Duck tried to stop Red from splashing bubbles everywhere. Red would be completely lost without his teddy bear.
One day while Duck and Yellow were relaxing in the living room, Red was pacing around the kitchen. His fingers were fidgeting with his yarn strings and his eyes were darting around. He would stop every few minutes to breathe before continuing his search for something.
"What's going on with him?" Yellow asked
"I don't know," Duck said looking up from his paper.
"Do you think he's little?"
"No, I don't think so. he doesn't have his teddy bear with them," Duck said. "The only thing we use to tell if he's little."
"But it looks like he's looking for something."
Then Red came into the living room still with a frantic looking his eye.
"Where is it? Where is it where is it where is it where is it where is it?" Red mumbled to himself.
"Red, honey is everything all right?" Duck said.
"Yeah. If something's wrong you should tell us," Yellow added.
"I can't find it. Where is it? I have to find it," Red said his words bumping into each other as panic seeped into every letter.
Yellow and Duck both looked at each other with concern. They tried to confront Red again but he just ran to their bedroom. They both followed him into the room where they saw him sitting on the floor beside his bed. It was clear from his posture that he was crying. His cries were muffled by a yellow pacifier with a blue base and a red handle.
"I guess he really is little right now," Duck said.
"Told you," Yellow replied.
"Red, baby is everything okay?" Duck got closer to Red. "Is there anything Papa and Yell-Yell can help with?"
Red knotted and squeezed Duck's hand. "I can't find my teddy bear. I've looked everywhere and he's gone!"
"Oh no," Yellow said. "That's horrible. but don't worry Papa and Yell-Yell know how to help you."
"Do we?" Duck whisperer to Yellow.
"We'll be right back Little Red," Yellow pulled Duck out of the room.
In the hallway, Yellow guided Duck to a closet that kept their winter gear. Yellow was rummaging through a bin and pulled out an outfit and showed it to Duck.
"So your plan is wearing that to make Red happy?" Duck asked.
"I'm sure it'll work. Plus I wanted an excuse to wear this for a while now," Yellow said.
Duck was about to open the door to the Trio's bedroom when he looked back to see Yellow adjusting the zipper to his outfit.
"I hope this works," Duck said, finally opening the door.
