❝Where were we going again?❝

The city was bristling with people, large buildings towering into the sky and streets full of cars and pedestrians. It was crowded, too crowded. Even the air was polluted and heavy, smelling like smoke and oil.
It was odd, the city where our protagonist is from was a lot different from this. The people believed that the Taisho era was a beautiful one, and everything --- besides medical care, usually --- functioned like it did back then.
A person riding their bike just about rammed their bike into a young male with a dull expression, only missing hitting them by a hair. The throng of people surrounding them just continued on with their lives, just completely forgetting about the bike rider.
[Y/N] continued to walk, ignoring the person who just about ran into him, slipping past the crowd as he reached a familiar building. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a polaroid picture of the exact building that he was looking at, the words 'Hopes Peak Academy' scribbled in the bottom right corner with the same hand writing that Oyakata-sama's wife would usually write.
"Squawk! We're here already!?" Ginko awoke from her spot on [Y/N]'s head, ruffling her feathers from imperfections and batting her long eyelashes. "What are you waiting for, hurry ahead!"
The [E/C]-eyed male blinked gingerly as he stepped forwards, one step after the other, "what are we doing here again..?""You forgot already?" Ginko crowed out, an imaginary eyebrow quirking at his master, "we're here to attend this school, Hope Peak Academy, to gather information about why this school's students keep on going missing!"
"Makes sense..." [Y/N] walked through the gates, his mind fogging even further than usual, before he simply collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
"Tokito-sama!?"

Waking to the feeling of his cheek pinched between a something and pulled, [Y/N]'s eyes fluttered open as he glared at the person responsible for awakening him. His stare only softened as he caught his eyes on the kasugai crow.
"Kaw! This door here must lead to somewhere!" Ginko nestled herself into [Y/N]'s soft, [H/C]-coloured hair, snuggled comfortably in the fluffy locks.
[Y/N] saw what Ginko was talking about, a large wooden door that seemed be hung in an empty space as all he could focus on was the door, and solely the door. It wasn't a surprise that he walked through the door, the door opening with a barely noticeable creak, before a room revealed itself in front of [Y/N].
There were only about twelve people here by now, but it was still too crowded for the [E/C]-eyed male's liking. He quickly retreated into a corner, not wanting to interact with any of the people there: not that he would remember any of them, regardless. Sitting on one of the desks, he crossed his legs and leaned against the back of the chair he was sat at.Zoning out, it felt like nothing was here... a blissful state of a comfortable loneliness that filled [Y/N]'s ---already mostly blank--- mind.
Humming a soft tune, Ginko snuggled pleasantly into [Y/N]'s lap, a [S/C]-coloured hand gently resting itself a top of the crows smooth black feathers.
