I'm internally screaming, but force my thoughts away from the kiss Minho gifted me. And my mind trails to the note Tyler gave me. I should write one back.
I grab a piece of paper and a pen, starting to write on the paper.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO SO YOU CAN LEAVE ME ALONE. PLEASE DO -WHITLEY
I take a deep breath, throwing the note in my suitcase; if He already comes in here to deliver notes, He can take the one I've written for Tyler.

I walk into the main hall, and I lock eyes with Minho. He waves me over, and I do just that.
"Hey," he greets me, sliding over on the bench so I can sit next to him. "How was your sleep?"
I look at him with a raised eyebrow. "Are you seriously going to ignore what happened last night?"
He grins. "Maybe," he replies. "But I know Braedyn and Newt won't."
This time, Newt is sitting with us instead of Astrid. I'm glad Braedyn found someone who will put him before anyone else. He deserves it.
"We're having a volleyball game today," Minho tells me. "So get ready."
I quickly eat breakfast, and we all meet on the makeshift volleyball court. Well, everyone except for Teresa.
My heart races with excitement as I stand with my teammates. I notice the way Newt and Braedyn look at each other, and it warms me up inside.
"Okay, let's show them what we've got!" Braedyn calls out, a determined look in his eyes. He glances at Newt, who gives him a nod.
I stand next to Minho, my heart still fluttering from what happened the night before. He's been acting as if it didn't happen, and it's driving me insane. As if I'm not already... Okay, that wasn't funny.
I steal a glance at him, but he's focused on the game, his brow furrowed in concentration.
The whistle blows, and Braedyn serves the ball. It flies over the net, and I watch as Newt lunges forward, diving to save it. He rolls onto the sand with a laugh, and Braedyn's eyes light up.
"Nice save!" Braedyn calls, rushing over.
"Only because you served it," Newt teases, brushing the sand off his shorts.
As the game heats up, I find myself in a rhythm, spiking the ball over the net, and the others help defend. But every time I glance over, Braedyn and Newt are lost in their own world, stealing little moments. When Braedyn scores a point, he celebrates by wrapping his arms around Newt, who laughs.
"Are you always this dramatic?" Newt teases, but the sparkle in his eyes shows he loves it.
"Only when I'm with you," Braedyn replies, and my heart warms at the sweetness between them.
I'm caught off guard when the ball comes flying my way, and I jump into action, spiking it over with all my strength. The ball sails past the opposing team, and I hear cheers erupt from my teammates. Minho watches me, his expression unreadable, but I can feel the tension in the air between us.
"Good job, Whit!" Sonya calls, and I turn to bask in the moment, only to see Minho clapping slowly, his face a mix of admiration and something else, but I can't tell what it is.
"Nice play," he says, but his tone doesn't have the enthusiasm I expected.
"Thanks," I reply, forcing a smile, but my thoughts are still tangled in what happened last night.
As the game continues, I can't shake the feeling that Minho is feeling different than earlier this morning; he was talking to me normally. I watch him during a break, and he catches my eye for a moment before looking away. The crack of disappointment settles in my chest, but I push it aside as Braedyn and Newt's laughter draws me back to the game.
With each point we score, Braedyn finds new ways to flirt with Newt—winking, playful nudges, and little inside jokes that make Newt blush. It's adorable, but I can't help but feel a little envious of their connection.
When it's time for a timeout, I watch as Braedyn leans in close to Newt, whispering something that makes Newt's eyes widen before he bursts into laughter.
"No way! You didn't!" Newt says, shaking his head in disbelief.
"I did! And you loved it!" Braedyn retorts, a mischievous glint in his eyes. I feel warmth spread through me as I see how happy they are together.
Minho stands to the side, arms crossed and brow furrowed, and my heart sinks a little. He's still distant, like he's putting up a wall between us. I wish I could understand what he's thinking, why he's acting like everything is normal when it feels so different to me.
"Hey, Whit!" Sonya calls, breaking me from my thoughts. "You ready to get back in?"
I nod, forcing myself to focus on the game. As I rejoin, I find myself on the opposite side of the court from Minho.
The match continues, and I feel a rush of hope. I leap to spike the ball, but it goes straight to Minho, who impressively hits it. I'm surprised by how effortlessly he handles the ball, his movements fast and confident.
"Nice save!" I shout, and for a quick moment, our eyes meet.
With the game nearing its end, the score is neck and neck. My heart races as Braedyn sets up for another serve. I glance over to see Newt's loving support, cheering loudly for him. The ball flies over the net, and we all watch.
The moment we've been waiting for arrives as the opposing team prepares to return the serve. The ball bounces back, and we're all in motion. I sprint towards the net, ready to jump, when I catch a glimpse of Minho out of the corner of my eye. He's moving toward me, determination planted on his face.
In that moment, everything else fades away. The game, the tension, the unspoken words—it all blurs as we both leap for the ball at the same time. Our hands brush against each other, and I feel a jolt of electricity shoot through me. The ball lands on the opposing side, and cheers erupt from our team.
"We did it!" Braedyn yells, and I feel a rush of happiness wash over me. But as I turn to celebrate, I find Minho standing there, staring at me with an intensity that sends my heart racing.
"Great job," he says, but the weight of his gaze makes me feel like there's more to his words.
"Yeah, you too," I reply, breathless.
