*A year later*
*Lupin's p.o.v.*
time passed more quickly than I though, and soon Teddy turned 1 year old and he began to walk and to try and say his first words, that next august my wife and I were laying next to the fireplace after spending the day at Molly's house, we had already put Teddy down and we were enjoying out time alone, which were rare.
I've kept an eye on Dora for the whole day and realised that she had been down, or at least not as good as normal, so after a while of her being on my chest while I caressed her hair I asked:
"Dora, honey?"
"yeah?" she asked still a bit sleepy
"are you okay?" I asked
she sat up straight and looked at me:
"I've actually been meaning to tell you something, but I'm not really sure how you're going to take it"
I grabbed her hand and told her:
"you know you can tell me anything"
she nodded and soon tears ran down her cheeks:
"I'm pregnant Remus, I think I've been for the last week"
I looked at her trying to process what she had told me:
"you're... pregnant?" I asked
excitement began to fill me and then she added:
"and I think it's a girl"
all of the excitement that I had came out as I asked:
"I'm going to have a daughter?"
she nodded and all that I could do was close the space between us and give her a hug:
"that's wonderful dear" I whispered in her ear, "I can't believe that slowly we're becoming the family I've always wanted"
she hugged me back and let out a big sight, then looked up at me and said:
"I love you hon"
I chuckled and replied:
"I love you too Dora, I don't think I'm going to be able to thank you enough for what you're doing for me, you're doing things that I thought were impossible for someone like me, like marrying their soulmate and best friend, having a little family of his own and living a peaceful life"
she gave me a kiss on the cheek and replied:
"you don't have to thank me for giving you what you deserve honey, you're everything that I've ever wanted and I wouldn't have asked for a better husband and father of my children"
I hugged her tightly and kissed the top of her head, and before I could say anything, Teddy began to cry, Dora began to stand up but I stopped her:
"you're not going anywhere, you're carrying my baby girl, so it's my duty to take care of our little earthquake"
she giggle and gave me a little kiss on the lips before saying:
"deal, but come fast that I'll get cold if you don't"
I nodded and stood up from the couch to go upstairs to our baby's room
*ten months later*
*still Lupin's p.o.v.*
our baby girl Hope was born a month ago, in may, and tonight was going to be the first full moon, and I was, as I was with Teddy, pretty nervous, I didn't want to ruin my babies life by giving them my condition, so that night, instead of leaving to transform, I took the potion to help Dora if she needed it
we had finished dinner and the four of us were sitting in the living room, Teddy was sitting next to his Mom and he asked:
"is she a wolf like Daddy, Mommy?"
Dora looked at him and gave him a kiss on his forehead before answering:
"we don't know yet baby, we're going to see if she is or not tonight"
our boy, who turned two on the 16th of march, was in that time of his life were he wouldn't stop asking questions, even if those were hard to ask or uncomfortable, like this one, I had been on my nerves the whole day, fearing this moment very much, one thing was that a man was a werewolf, but what about a girl? the scars that I made to myself were of horrible pain the next day, so I wouldn't imagine that in a girl, specially if that girl was my daughter.
I was still thinking all of this that I hadn't realise that the full moon was already out, our baby girl began crying and moving intensely in her crib, I quickly stood up and told Dora:
"take him away Dora dear, please"
her face turned into a worried one, but she took Teddy's hand and left the room, has he began crying:
"what's happening to her Mommy? I want to help her, I don't want her to die"
"she's not going to die baby, don't worry about it"
when they left I approached my baby girl and grabbed her from her crib, surprised enough to see that she didn't have any fur in his hands or toes, first sign of being a werewolf. She hadn't stop crying so I walked around the room trying to make her feel better, but without any success
some time later Dora came in without Teddy and asked me:
"how is she?"
"she didn't change hon, but she won't stop crying, so I think that she does have something"
she looked at out girl and caressed her face a couple of times before saying:
"maybe if we take her to San Mungo tomorrow"
since the ending of the war, a lot of people started investigating everything concerning werewolfs, to help them when they were little and to diagnose them at an early time, so I nodded and said:
"yeah that's a good idea, though we should leave Teddy out of it, I've already seen him worried enough"
Dora chuckled and replied:
"yeah, he was scared he was loosing her, I feel that both of them are going to grow up to be very close to each other"
I nodded and added:
"and I'm getting the feeling they are going to have the prankster vibe"
she laughed and nodded:
"oh yeah they are, for sure"
we stood some time in silence, watching our daughter sleeping and putting funny faces from time to time, until I asked:
"I think we should take Teddy tomorrow to the Potters, what do you think? they're his godparents after all"
Dora leaned onto me and said:
"that's a very good idea, wolfy"
I rolled my eyes making her say:
"you love it an you know it"
I laughed and said:
"true, true"
Hope yawned in my arms, and so did I, and with one arm holding her and another one around my wife's hip, we went upstairs and placed our baby girl in his crib
