Amelia awoke with butterflies fluttering in her stomach. Today was the day she had been waiting for: her first official date with Prince Jason. The anticipation coursed through her veins as she prepared herself for the occasion. After successfully showcasing her culinary talents at the queen's birthday party, she had earned this opportunity, and she was determined to make the most of it.

As she dressed, she chose a flowing sundress adorned with delicate floral patterns, feeling that it would reflect the spirit of the day. After a final glance in the mirror, she took a deep breath and stepped out of her room, excitement bubbling within her. ( PS : amelia dress above )

When she arrived at the meeting point in the palace courtyard, Jason was already waiting for her, leaning against a marble pillar with a relaxed demeanor. He looked effortlessly handsome in a light shirt and fitted trousers, his smile lighting up his face as he spotted her.

"Good morning, Amelia," he said, his voice warm and inviting. "You look beautiful today."

"Thank you, Your Highness," she replied, her cheeks warming under his gaze. "I'm excited about our day together."

"Me too," he said, offering his arm to her. "Shall we?"

As they made their way out of the palace grounds, Amelia couldn't help but steal glances at Jason, trying to gauge his thoughts. She was aware that he had been on numerous dates with other contestants, and she wondered how her experience would compare.

Their destination was a secluded waterfall just outside the kingdom, a hidden gem known for its breathtaking beauty. The journey to the waterfall was filled with lighthearted conversation as they walked side by side, sharing laughter and stories about their lives.

When they finally arrived, the sight took Amelia's breath away. The waterfall cascaded down from a rocky cliff, its crystal-clear waters glimmering in the sunlight. The sound of rushing water filled the air, creating a serene atmosphere that felt magical.

"Wow," she breathed, her eyes wide with wonder. "It's beautiful!"

"I thought you'd like it," Jason replied, smiling as he watched her reaction. "It's one of my favorite spots."

They walked closer to the water's edge, the mist from the waterfall creating a refreshing coolness in the air. Jason reached out and playfully splashed some water toward her, a glint of mischief in his eyes.

"Hey!" Amelia laughed, dodging the spray. "You're going to get me wet!"

"That's the point!" he teased, grinning as he took a step closer. "We're at a waterfall, after all."

Amelia couldn't help but join in on the fun, splashing back at him. Their laughter echoed around the secluded area, creating a sense of joy that made the moment feel even more special.

After their playful exchange, they found a comfortable spot on the grassy bank, where they could sit and admire the view. The sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting playful shadows around them.

"This place is magical," Amelia said, her gaze fixed on the waterfall. "It feels like a dream."

"I come here when I need to think or just escape from everything," Jason confessed, his expression growing thoughtful. "Sometimes, being a prince can feel overwhelming."

Amelia nodded, understanding the weight of his responsibilities. "I can only imagine. It must be hard to find moments of peace with all the expectations."

Jason turned to her, his gaze serious yet soft. "You know, I've enjoyed spending time with you more than I thought I would. You have this way of making things feel lighter."

His words sent a warmth through Amelia, and she felt her heart flutter. "I'm glad to hear that. I feel the same way. It's easy to be myself around you."

They shared a moment of comfortable silence, the sound of the waterfall surrounding them like a gentle embrace. As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, casting golden rays across the landscape, Jason turned to her with a playful smile.

"Do you want to go for a swim?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

"Swim? Here?" Amelia raised an eyebrow, surprised at the suggestion.

"Why not? It's a warm day, and the water looks inviting!" He stood up, playfully challenging her. "Are you up for it?"

Amelia felt a rush of spontaneity. "Okay, but only if you're in first!"

With a grin, Jason kicked off his shoes and waded into the water, splashing playfully as he went. Amelia watched, her laughter ringing out as he encouraged her to join him.

"Come on! It's refreshing!" he called, and with a mixture of excitement and nerves, she followed suit, pulling off her sandals and stepping into the cool water.

As she waded deeper, the sensation sent shivers down her spine, but it quickly transformed into exhilaration. Jason swam closer, and they began splashing each other, laughter echoing through the air once again. In that moment, all the pressures of the Selection, the competition, and their royal lives faded away.

After a while, they floated on their backs, looking up at the clear blue sky. The water cradled them, and for the first time in a long while, Amelia felt a sense of freedom.

"This is incredible," she said, glancing at Jason, who was smiling peacefully beside her. "I never imagined I'd have a day like this."

"I'm glad we're sharing it together," he replied, his tone sincere. "You make everything feel more enjoyable."

As the sun began to set, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, they swam back to shore and dried off. They shared stories and dreams, talking about their hopes for the future. The connection between them deepened with each word exchanged, the chemistry palpable.

When it was time to return to the palace, Amelia felt a mix of reluctance and contentment. This day had exceeded her expectations, and she cherished the moments they had shared.

As they walked back, Jason turned to her, his expression softening. "Thank you for today, Amelia. I truly enjoyed it."

"Me too," she replied, her heart racing. "It was one of the best days I've ever had."

Jason paused, looking into her eyes, and for a moment, the world around them faded away. In that brief silence, they shared a connection that transcended their roles and responsibilities.

As they arrived at the palace, the atmosphere felt different. The experience had changed them, and Amelia knew that this was just the beginning of a journey filled with possibilities and new beginnings. Little did she know how profoundly this day would impact both their lives and the path ahead in the Selection.
