[Scene: Early morning in a quiet house. Arav wakes up to some clattering noises from the kitchen. His eyes squint as he walks towards the sound, half-asleep. He sees a girl with a messy bun, in pajamas, standing by the counter with her mouth full of bread.]

Arav: (frowning) Who are you?

Ishani: (turning towards him, still chewing) The girl you married last night. (pauses, swallows) And successfully ruined her life in the process.

[Arav is momentarily taken aback. He finds the sight a little... cute, despite the sharp words. But his face hardens quickly, his usual arrogant demeanor returning.]

Arav: (coldly) Right. Don't get too comfortable. We have a flight to catch at 6 a.m. I’m leaving for the U.S., and you're coming with me.

Ishani: (sarcastically) Oh, how lovely. Can’t wait to spend a whole 16-hour flight with you.

Arav: (smirking) Good. Just remember, you asked for this marriage as much as I did.

Ishani: (raising an eyebrow) Sure, because this was exactly how I imagined my dream wedding would go.

[Arav's smirk fades. He looks at her for a moment longer, perhaps catching a glimpse of her frustration beneath the sarcasm. But his guard remains up.]

Arav: Pack your things. We leave in two hours.

Ishani: Whatever you say, husband. (rolls her eyes and takes another bite of bread)

[He watches her for a second longer than he intended before turning sharply and walking away.]

Ishani’s POV:

Great. Just great. Married to a complete stranger last night and now I’m about to hop on a plane to the U.S. with him at 6 a.m. This is exactly how I imagined my life going. Just perfect.

How on earth am I supposed to spend my whole life with this guy? He’s practically made of ice—zero emotion, zero warmth. Just… a ruthless jerk.

I went to my room and  slam the bathroom door behind me, my heart racing with frustration. I didn’t ask for this. I didn’t want any of this. Forced into a marriage like it’s some kind of medieval trade deal. Now, here I am, expected to just drop everything and follow him across the world. My dreams? My life? Not even a question.

I stare at my reflection in the mirror, letting the silence of the room calm my thoughts. But even through the storm in my mind, I know one thing for sure—I’m not weak. I might have been pushed into this marriage, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to let him or anyone else walk all over me.

He may think he can control everything, but he hasn’t met someone like me yet.

I tighten the messy bun on top of my head, straightening my shoulders. If Arav thinks he can get away with being the cold, unfeeling, “I’ll ruin your life” type, he’s in for a surprise. I’m not some delicate flower he can crush under his designer shoes. Sarcasm has always been my shield, and I’m going to need every bit of it with him.

I’m stronger than this. I’ll survive this marriage. Heck, I might even thrive. But one thing’s for sure—I won’t let him break me.

I pull on a fresh pair of clothes, already feeling the edge of defiance settle into my bones. I have no idea what’s waiting for me on the other side of that plane ride, but one thing’s certain—I’ll be damned if I let him think he’s won.

Arav’s POV:

Marriage. The word feels empty in my mind. I didn’t ask for it, I didn’t want it, but here I am—married to a girl I barely know. A girl who thinks she’s been wronged, as if she’s the only one with dreams that were tossed aside.
