Five, Luther and Raven were driving to the place were the meeting was supposed to happen with Hazel and Cha-Cha.
Luther was driving, Five sat next to him. Raven was in the middle seat in the back. The fake briefcase sat next to her.
The stopped in the middle of nowhere, so if something happened, nobody would be alarmed.
They all stayed silent for a while, Five sighed.
He was the first to speak up. "You know, I never enjoyed it."
"What?" Raven asked. She leaned over. Her head was now between her brothers.
"The killing. I mean, I was... I was good at my work, and I... I took pride in it. But it never gave me pleasure."
Five sighed again and continued. "I think it was all those years alone. Solitude can do funny things to the mind."
Luther could relate to that. "Yeah, well, you were gona for such a long time. I only spent 4 years on the moon, but that was more than enough. It's the being alone that breaks you."
"You think they'll buy it?" Raven pointed at the fake briefcase. She wanted to end the sad conversation quickly, since she couldn't relate to her brothers.
"Well, what I do know is that they're desperate. It's like a cop losing his gun. If the Commission finds out, they'll be in deep shit. Oh, not to mention the fact that they'll be stuck here until they get it back."
"Well, I should hold on to it." Luther said.
Raven Five turned to their brother. "Hm?" They said in sync.
"In case they make a move on you, Five."
"Okay, Luther, but be careful. I mean, I've... I've lived a long life, but... you're still a young man. You got your whole life ahead of you. Don't waste it."
Luther turned to look outside and was totally dumbfounded by what his brother said.
Five turned around to Raven. "You too. You're only 16. Be careful."
"Uh, sure." Raven said. She lived just as many years as her brother Luther, but no. They had to act like she only lived 16 short years.
Five hummed, waiting for Hazel and Cha-Cha to show up. They were just in time.
"Here we go." Raven said, ready to get out of the car.
The siblings stepped out of the car and Raven handed the fake briefcase to Luther.
"If this all goes sideways, do me a favor and tell Delores I'm sorry." Five said, looking at his brother and sister.
Raven rolled her eyes. "Sure, sure. Just go already."
Five walked up to Hazel and Cha-Cha. Luther and Raven waited by the car. Raven was leaning on the car.
"The masks really necessary?" Five began.
Hazel and Cha-Cha took of their kids masks and threw it on the ground.
"So, where is it, kid?" Cha-Cha asked. She wanted this to be over quickly.
"Wow, so that's how you're gonna start. You know, we can get right back in our car and call it a day."
"You won't even make it haldway there." Cha-Cha said, pulling out a gun and aiming at Five.
Raven jumped up from the car, her eyes were starting to glow. She was ready to interfene, but Luther stopped him.
"Raven, don't. That's only gonna make things worse. Five can handle this." Luther said.
