Never in her life did she hate herself for being an orphan and single. Is it stressed enough? As she was about to walk out of the restaurant, while holding her tears, like a looser, she sees a man, fighting with the staff at the front door while an innocent little girl is standing beside him, holding the man's hand. She curiously walked towards the fight and overheard them.

"... but it's my sister's birthday today..." the man yells, and the staff calmly replies, "Sir, we understand, but there is no reservation made under the said name. Please confirm the reservation and come back, we'll be very much happy to assist you" ,with the corporate smile on his face.

As the guy was about to return, he took the little girl's hand.

Nila gets a crazy thought, and without any second thought, she executes it.

"Hey, baby... I was waiting for you at the table and you are here fighting with the staff... how irresponsible? I even ordered a cheesecake for the princess..." she says, picking the little girl up and walking towards the table while the man blindly follows her, with a bewildered expression.

On her way, she informed the staff member that her "companion" is here and to bring the food in. She happily obliged, leaving the known strangers at the calm table.

There was silence. No words were uttered by both parties. Nila decides to break the silence and starts speaking. "I'm sorry. I booked a table for two, and they said they'll serve me only when my add-on joins me. Since I had no one, I was about to walk away and then saw you and the fight, so I interfered myself. I sincerely apologise for my actions... It's just that I didn't want to lose on the money I paid..." Her words wake the man from the shock.

"It's... It's completely fine. Great, actually..." The man stumbles between words still proceeds to speak. "It's... her birthday today, and I wanted to surprise her with a good dinner..." he pauses, taking a deep breath and continues, "So, I heard about this place and asked my friend to book a table since he had some membership or something... he said he did it..." he lowers his head as the steward enters with the delicacies of the chef. As the staff served their food, they were in awe, looking at the food. Everything looks so colorful, so radiant, so fresh, smoke flowing out of some dishes as they were being presented on the table. The little girl can not contain her amusement and tries to touch the food when the older brother intervenes and sushes her.

"Hamsa, behave..." The man speaks as the girl sits back, disappointed.

"Let her... It's our food, after all.." Nila says as the little lady's eyes lit up with excitement and starts looking at the food with previous excitement, causiously touching them, checking her brother's reaction.

As her inspection was completed, the server serves the food and leaves the table. The three, now acquintainces, starts eating the food. While the elders are very delicate with their bites, the younger show no mercy. She devoured them and savored their taste as her face showed a clear expression of satisfaction on her face.

More than 10 courses were served. It may sound too much, but for the money she paid, it was way too little... and the servings made enough time to turn those acquaintances as friends. By the time they reached the 8th or 9th course, they were talking like persons who had known each other for years. Their laughs are reverbing in the otherwise calm restaurant, and the staff are throwing glaring eyes towards the "weird" people, i.e., the happiest people there.

After the serving of all the food, it was time for dessert. Nila is jumping on her seat since she knew what they were serving for dessert. Cheesecake, her favorite in the world. As the whole cake arrives, the little girl, too, starts jumping in excitement. She then slices up the cake, not so delicately, yet Nila ignores since it's her birthday, and she is so interested in having the cake.
