A few days later, Ragini went for a job interview after dropping Trisha off at school. It took her two hours to reach the interview spot, which was quite far from home. Unfortunately, she was rejected because the company required her to work for 12 hours, which wasn't feasible for her as a mother of a toddler.
Disheartened, Ragini headed towards the bus stop to go back home. As she stood there, the weather started to change unexpectedly. Dark clouds rolled in, and soon, heavy rainfall poured down from the sky. The sudden change in weather was accompanied by harsh winds, making it difficult for her to see.
Despite her attempts to shield herself, Ragini got soaked from the rain, her saree sticking to her as she tried to find cover.Due to the rush of other passengers and the heavy rain, Ragini couldn't get on the bus.

She sat on the bench at the bus stop, feeling tense, when a car stopped in front of her, and someone called her name.
"Ragini ji."
She looked up and saw Randhir in the car, calling out to her. He came near and asked, "Aap yahan kya kar rahi hain?" (What are you doing here?)
"Vo mera interview tha lekin baarish ki wajah se bus miss ho gayi," said Ragini. (I had an interview, but I missed the bus because of the rain.)
"Chaliye, main ghar hi jaa raha hoon," said Randhir. (Come, I'm heading home.)
Ragini got into the car with him and sat in the passenger seat.
"Ye car aapki hai?" asked Ragini. (Is this your car?)
"Jii, zyada use nahi karta. Jab kahin bahar jaana ho tabhi use karta hoon, varna toh bike hi best hai," said Randhir, starting the car. (Yes, but I don't use it much. Only when I have to go far; otherwise, the bike is best.)
"Ohh, aap yahan kya kar rahe the?" she asked again. (Oh, what were you doing here?)
"Kaam ke silsile mein aaya tha party office, tabhi meri nazar aap pe padi," said Randhir. (I came here for some work at the party office, and that's when I noticed you.)
Randhir was driving, the sound of the rain drumming against the roof of the car blending with the music playing softly from the radio:
"मरीज़-ए-इश्क़हूँमैं, करदेदवा मरीज़-ए-इश्क़हूँमैं, करदेदवा" (I am a patient of love, give me your remedy.)
