That night, as Anil sat in bed, waiting for Shankar to return from his evening prayers, Radha’s words echoed in his mind. He glanced down at his chest, the blouse stretched tightly over the curves that had once been flat and unnoticed. His manboobs, round and soft, now felt like an undeniable part of his identity, something he couldn’t escape.

He knew what Radha expected of him, what the stars demanded. But how could he bring himself to do it? How could he use his body, this body that wasn’t fully his anymore, to seduce a man he could barely look at?

Shankar entered the room, as silent and distant as always. He sat on the edge of the bed, his back to Anil, and began to untie his kurta. The silence between them stretched on, thick with tension.

Anil’s heart pounded in his chest. He knew what he had to do, but the shame and reluctance made him freeze. His hands trembled as they rested on his lap, and for a moment, he considered saying something—anything—to break the unbearable silence.

But the weight of the stars, the threat of death looming over Shankar, and Radha’s harsh words pressed down on him like a suffocating blanket.

He glanced again at his chest, feeling the swell of his manboobs beneath the fabric. Radha’s voice whispered in his mind: “Use what you have.”

Taking a deep breath, Anil shifted closer to Shankar, his body tense and awkward. He didn’t know if he could go through with it, but if he didn’t try—if he didn’t do something—Shankar’s life could be in danger again. And this time, the stars might not show mercy
