I was searching online as to what I could do today. I found nothing. So, I did some chores and some studying. It was only 10 am. I had the rest of the day to myself and nothing to do. Maybe it was a bad idea to stay home. I didn't want to go to school either. I didn't want to face anyone.
I got the mail and I saw a paper that said "This week only! FREE driving lessons from 11-3. This week only! No sign-up needed!"
I saw that it was from the driving school a few blocks down the road. I didn't have anything better to do, so I decided to go.I walked in at 10:30 to quite a few teenagers about my age. There was probably around 20 of us. Who knew this many people would skip school for this.
Once it was about 10:45, a teacher came out and told us to get in groups of 4. I didn't know anyone here. So, I just waited until everyone gathered up, so I could be put in the group with people who stand around. Like me.
I was in a group with 2 guys and a girl. One of the guys was really tall and the other seemed like your average teenage guy. Except he was a lot hotter. The girl had glasses and long blonde hair. The 4 of us didn't talk until about 5 teachers came out and went to their seperate groups. We got a teacher who was young, but was already married. She had a name tag on her shoulder that read "Kim".
"Hi everybody! My name is Mrs. Burke, but you can call me Kim. I will be your driving teacher for today. How about we go around and tell us your name and something about you." she said.
The tall dude went first.
"Hi! My name is Kevin and I play basketball." he said trying to sound casual.
The girl went next.
"Hi. My name is Arden. Umm...I play tennis, I guess." she said.
I went next.
"Umm. I'm Rebekah and I have a little brother." I said, hoping no one would ask about him.
The hot guy went last.
"I'm Taylor. And I'm homeschooled." he said.
"Alright! We got a good group. Now, who is going to be able to come the rest of the week?" she asked.
Taylor and Kevin could come all week and Arden can't come the last day.
"I'm going to be here today and tommorrow." I said.
"Okay cool! So I guess most of us are going to be spending some time together. So, let's get started." she said.
