Chapter five

(At S.T.A.R. L.A.B.S.)
"You don't really believe she can run that fast,do you?" Caitlin asked "well, I believe anything is possible, and in a few minutes maybe you will too" Harrison wells said. "how does it fit?" Cisco asked me, I came out wearing a red jumpsuit with a bike helmet on, some safety goggles on, some cleats, and some knee pads, "it's a little snug" I said "at least you will be moving so fast no one will see you" Cisco said bringing me to the track "see, you thought the world was slowing down it wasn't you were moving so fast it only looked like everyone else was standing still" Cisco said "Dr Wells will be monitoring your energy output, and Caitlin, your vitals" I looked at him and asked "what do you do?", "I make the toys, check it this is a two-way headset with a camera I modified, typically designed to combat battlefield impulse noise or in your case potential sonic booms, which would be awesome" he said chuckling he took the helmet I had off so he can go put the headset on it then Caitlin came up to me and starting adjusting everything that needed to be adjusted. I just looked at her while she did everything "what?" She asked "nothing, I just noticed you don't smile too much" I said and she looked at me "my once promising career in bioengineering is over, my boss is in a wheelchair for life" she said looking over at Harrison Wells "the explosion put you in a coma also killed my fiancé. So this blank expression kind of feels like the way to go" she walking away. "Ms cantrall, while I am extremely eager to determine your full range of abilities, I do caution restraint" Harrison Wells said to me I just nodded and went to the starting block they set up for me, I got into position and looked back signaling them that I was ready. As soon as I started running Cisco, Harrison Wells, and Caitlin went flying back, I was just running while they all were looking at me stunned Cisco looked at me in the binoculars and said "she just passed 200 miles" "that's not possible" Caitlin said stunned. While I was running I got a flashback of the day my mom was killed by time I stopped thinking I looked up and I ran into a ton of barrels breaking my hand.
(At the police station)
"What is all this?" Captain Singh asked "witnesses from the robbery at gold city bank" Sofia said "perp made off with 200 grand more or less" "catch these guys" captain Singh said. "The windows blew in, it was like a hurricane everyone ran for cover" a witness said "we're going to have a sketch artist work with you, If you feel up to it" Eddie said looking back at the sketch artist. "Third robbery in a month where a freak storm precedes it, sounds like one of those 'wide world of weird' cases Kylie's obsessed with" Eddie said to Sofia "she's not obsessed" Sofia said "guess you haven't read her blog" Eddie commented, "the security cameras at the bank" Sofia asked Eddie so they stopped talking about Kylie "apparently it all shorted out" we got a bunch of witnesses here" Sofia said pointing to the witnesses "they all have cell phones" Sofia said sarcastically. "the sky went black and then, boom outside was inside man, it was like there was a thunderstorm in the bank" a witness said "suspect is driving a black mustang, partial plate six-kilo-Charlie-three put out an APB" Sofia said while looking at the cameras "copy that an officer said writing it down.

It looks like you had a distal radius fracture" Caitlin told Kylie while looking at her x-ray "had?" Kylie asked, Caitlin pulled up another picture "it's healed, in three hours" "how is that even possible?" Kylie asked "we don't know...yet" Cisco came in "you really need to learn how to stop" Harrison Wells came in "what happened out there today?" He asked "you were moving pretty well, and then something cause you to lose focus" I just looked at him trying to find my words "I started remembering something" I said in a low voice, he looked at me confused "when I was eleven my mother was murdered" everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me "it was late a sound woke me up I came downstairs and...I saw what looked like a ball of lighting inside the lighting. There was a man he killed my mom, they arrested my dad he's still sitting in iron heights for her murder. everyone, the cops, the shrinks, they all told me what I saw was impossible. but what if the man who killed my mom was like me?" I said with tears forming in my eyes, Harrison looked at me and spoke up "well,I think I can say unequivocally you are one of a kind" I just sighed and nodded.
