"DAD,
we're going now!" you yelled.

"Okay, bye!"

"Bye!" you and imani left the house hand in hand. You were walking her to her saturday playgroup, which you just so happened to work at.

It was something that benefitted all of you. Imani liked being active and this was the only free day on her schedule. You loved to work with kids and needed a job, and your dad could be free for a while to relax on the weekends.

"Did you know ren went to brazil. He can speak FULL portuguese!" your sister exclaimed.

You chuckled a little, "No i didn't know that imani."

"It's really really cool. I asked him if he could teach me and he said yes." she told you.

Your mouth widened in shock, "Lorenzo's going to teach you portuguese?"

"Mhm. He and daddy already spoke and he said it's fine."

"And when will this happen?"

"Every saturday after playgroup, because that's when lorenzo doesn't have soccer and i don't have gymnastics, dance or swimming."

You blinked a little in disbelief. Had your little sister always been this? 'Where did she get this from?' you wondered then laughed. You had to respect it though.

"Sounds like you've got it all planned out." you said.

"Mhm!" she continued to ramble onto you about all the drama going on at kindergarten and all her clubs.

"I hope gabi isn't there today."

"Sasha's little cousin?" you asked.

Imani frowned, knowing how it looked. "I try to be her friend but she doesn't like me. She only likes ren. Dad said not to think of it but she's nice to everyone but me."

You sighed, "Right, i forgot marley kids go there too."

"Is that where nevaeh goes to school now?"

"Yes, it is." you said. "We don't talk about that remember though."

"Oh yeah. Sorry." she said.

The playgroup was just across the road. At that same time, lorenzo was on the other side of the road walking into the playgroup. He stopped when he saw imani across the road and waved excitedly.

"MANI!" he waved.

She grinned back and was about to run across to him but you swiftly pulled her back by her backpack.

"Imani! Do you want to live?!" you exclaimed, watching cars still drive by.

"Oh sorry." she apologised then stood in anticipation waiting for the light to go green.

The longer cars drove by, the more she grew agitated. She sighed and pressed the button again which made you chuckle.

A couple seconds later, it went green. She immediately grinned then let go of your hand.

"IMA—"

It was too late. She was already running across the road to see him. You groaned then followed behind to go get her.

"Imani." you raised your voice and held onto her hand before she could go to him.

"I don't care who's across the road and if the light is green or not. Don't you ever let go of my hand and run like that again." you snapped. "Okay?!"

She nodded then looked down at the concrete, "Sorry."

You were going to continue talking but saw lorenzo standing behind you. You looked at the anticipating small smile on his face and looked back at imani.
