Close enough.

"From the old king, his offsprings .... down to his descendants." Cid began, pacing around the room in fascination while the mirror looked onwards silently, oddly tolerating his monologue for the timebeing.

"Powerful people said to possess magic and skill never before seen in a human being." He added, stopping to illustrate on the wall with an index.

"So powerful that it was said that were nearly unbeatable, bordering on the edge of immortality."

"Yet ..... one by one" he continued, crossing and scribbling lines off the wall with his index.

"They each fell with a single alarming factor in common."

"The sighting or rumour of a possible twin or sibling involved in the act." He finished, swiveling around to face the mirror with a neon purple glow in his eye.

It was instantaneous, the walls splintering with a crack as the mirror abruptly moved to deliver a punch which Cid mirrored as well; their fists colliding with a blast to emit a purple shockwave that rippled across the entire chamber.

The walls of the room rippled with a crack of purple as they moved with a flicker; appearing and reappearing around the room to launch punches at each other - the two oddly mirroring each other's moves and attacks to a stalemate.

Cid smiled in approval, his eyes gleaming with excitement that the mirror didn't share - its eyes glaring at him intently as multiple purple energy blades subsequently congealed above them with a whine.

Cid broke away to hastily palm and divert the raining storm of energy blades ruthlessly plummeting at him; destroying and splattering them to motes of light as he backpedelled away.

Surprise flickered on his features as the mirror appeared before him with a blitz, eyes dragging mean red light streaks to deliver a purple energy enhanced punch.

He buried his back into the wall and assumed a guard of blocking his face and torso as the attack landed, blasting a shockwave that shook the chamber and flung him further in.

It subsequently - without missing a beat - followed with more; unleashing a flurry of muay thai kicks and punches that Cid skillfully diverted with his palms and forearms.

Cracks appeared on the wall as Cid's back gradually got forced into the concrete by the outwordly strength emitted from the impact.

The wall eventually gave way; blasting open to fling him onto the carpet of the corridor with a clatter - sending his rolling to a halt.

Lesser shadow garden members, about five in total appeared with a flicker to stop right beside him in waiting - prompted to action by the sounds of battle.

Their expression morphed into surprise when they found Cid standing up just as Shadow hopped out from the door of the chamber; running on the walls with blade in hand to the both of them.

A purple crescent appeared with a flicker; spreading out in a circular wave to decapitate all of them, which Cid prevented by blasting them out of the way with a seismic pulse of astretched palms, sending the five toppling to the floor in safety.

Cid retreated with a palm to the face, blocking an overhead strike with a clink before countering with a blindingly fast kick that the mirror skillfully deflected.

They danced back and forth much to the surprise and shock of the members, Cid reinforcing his limbs with magic to divert and retaliate against lancing blade.

Purple abruptly painted the entire room with a hum just as the mirror retreated; streaking lines permeated by ethereal dots appearing on every decoration and inhabitant in the room, much to their horror.

"I .... am ...." the mirror began, spinning and lifting his blade upwards in an elegant pose.

Cid cursed, dashing forward in a state of panic to counter with a spell of his own before the nuclear level attack was unleashed.

A purple icosphere erupted from his body; spinning fervently to encompass the two in a protective forcefield, cutting off the ethereal purple just as the mirror finished.

"Atomic ....~" it whispered, spinning the wispy purple blade around with a finality pose.

The icosphere slowly rumbled with a whine; filling and shaking with an ominous purple that completely encased both Cid and the mirror before blasting outward in blinding white.

Despite the protection of the forcefield, the room filled with blinding white that caused the members to scream and stagger away in horror and fright.

Impressively it held; the icosphere shield coming into view as the light abruptly dissipated to reveal the two inhabitants enclosed in it.

Cid collapsed to his knees with a groan; panting heavily, his shirt and trouser torn and tattered from tanking the atomic bomb at such close proximity.

The mirror stood tall as pristine and immaculate as ever with a glare of malice, sword held by the side in waiting.

"You .... are close enough." Cid admitted, lifting his head up to stare at the mirror intensely with a grin.

The mirror's lip tugged upwards with a smile at the compliment, before it bore down on him with an overhead slash.

He flipped out of the way with a somersault, barely avoiding the blade that punctured into the floor with a blast.

He swiftly tapped onto the field with a feet to deliver a roundhouse kick that was subsequently deflected by the mirror, sending it skidding back from the force of impact.

He dashed forward; following through with a flurry of blindingly fast kicks that the mirror skillfully deflected with the hilt of the blade - steadily being pushed back after each one.

The lesser shadow members looked onwards in dismay and helplessness, stumped by the existence of an enemy on the level of their master - one that happened to look like him as well - with their intrusion prevented by the existence of the forcefield.

Zeta hastily came into view at the end of the corridor; panting heavily as Delta and Gamma followed after as well - both in equally frantic states.

They watched in horror, as the two danced and moved fervently combat.
