Her blood soaked hands held the - now cauterizing - wound whilst burning blue with energy, aiming to expedite the healing process.

Beads of sweat appeared on her crown as she heaved a sigh of relief at the first sign of progress in what felt like forever.

Alpha with a quiver of her lip, slowly pushed a strand out of Victoria's - now ashen coloured - face with a smile of joy; her eyes glistering with tears.

The blood lose and pain had forced her body into shock a few hours ago, her vitals dropping dangerously low to the point of discolouring her skin, a process Alpha had attempted to mitigate with her energy - facing little progress up until now.

It wasn't perfect. She had never attempted sharing so much of her energy with anyone in an attempt to heal them before, but this was certainly something.

Victoria was going to live, long enough for a professional doctor to do something about her wound at least.

Hence why she finally stopped; the blue slowly dissipating from her fingers to reveal blood soaked palms and a partially cauterized wound.

"Hey ..... are you done already ?" The cult member, amid twenty called out - lightly tapping his blade to his shoulder in waiting.

Alpha slowly scooted towards victoria, and grasped her under the scalp and back to begin lifting her up.

She lifted her up bridal style, careful to avoid aggravating her wound before turning to face the twenty with glazed eyes.

They froze with a squint of trepidation at the palpable change in her disposition as she began striding forward with Victoria in hand, not even paying attention to any them.

She looked tired, weak and handicapped. Carrying a wounded comrade on top of sharing a substantial amount of her energy with said comrade in their presence will normally delineate her an easy target.

But her eyes spoke a warning and a promise of suffering to anyone that dared to assume that she was incapable of defending or retaliating with equal force even in her current state.

A few were wise enough to simply stand still in waiting, eyeing her menacingly as she strode up the stairs to exit the building; making it up the stairs to the door with a slight uneven gait in her steps.

The other, the one questioning her earlier on sneered with a clench of his teeth as she walked closer to the door, cursing out loud in anger as he dashed upwards with a trot, brandishing his blade in hand.

"I asked a question YOU STUPID B-" He began, as he lifted his blade up to impale her from behind.

Non were suprised as whippy slime suit tendrils erupted from her back with suprising speed and grasped him tightly in the chest before lifting him up to dissect him in two; spilling his entrails onto the floor - moving so fast that he had completedly missed their appearance.

Oddly enough, she hummed a lullaby as she entered the corridor to face more members standing at the location in waiting - another twenty in this one as well, all looking more feral and less reserved than the others.

Blood streaked into the air, weapons clinking and clattering away as slime suit whips shot out and batted away any assault launched at her before retaliating accordingly with their own - puncturing and tearing bodies apart in a method eerily reminiscent of Victoria.

She barely paid heed to their screams of pain, dulling it out with the lullaby as she moved forward with her eye set on the exit.

She stared at the full moon with a forlorn gaze as the sky came into view - holding still to appreciate its beauty before carrying further on.

The once occupied environment, previously filled with fervent life and cheers appeared desolate and empty with its occupants now all dead or moaning in pain as she strode onwards to the gate.

The gate slowly whined; opening spontaneously to reveal the path forward much to her surprise.

She swiftly turned in alarm to face the blond gate keeper from earlier, who stared at her intently with a pensive expression on face while dragging hard on a pipe in waiting.

He felt different than before, a palpable aura of evil and menacing dread enough to cause her knees to quiver in fear radiating from him, slowly coiling around her to suck away all sense of hope and victory from her body.

He was undoubtedly leagues above the other fighters she had met in the building and would have provided a decent challenge for her even at her absolute best - which she was far from at the moment.

Regardless she held bravely still in waiting as he brought out the pipe and blew out the smoke in frustration before smiling with a menacing grin.

Her eyes fell on his black swerving blade - that he conveniently placed at arms reach - before returning to his bloodshot eyes.

"I should kill you ...." he began, striding closer to stand a few feet away.

"With what you did to our great cult and gathering ...."

"But I'll be lying if i didn't SAY THAT: THAT WAS A SHOW OF A NIGHT !!" He maniacally cackled in glee much to her surprise.

"SAPPHIC AND KICKASS, i dig it !!" He added as he turned to walk off, leaving the two at the now open gate.

Alpha stared at his departing frame intensely, her breath coming out in short rasps as the imminent sense of dread washed away at his departure.
