Me:"Starr let's go I can't be here any longer. "
I grab my kids and we head back to my car. When I accidently bum into a darkskinned guy, and I must say he was gorgeous .I've never liked light skinned guys but Eric just so happened to get me.
Me:"Oops sorry we'll go around"
Him: "I'm Mylique"
Me:"Ummmmm Hi, I'm Katera"
Him: "Why you running from ole dude that's the father of your children huh"?
Me"Stalking much, eh excuse me Starr lets go so I can get them home"
Starr: "Nah I gottem go head, I'll be in the truck" . I hand her the kids and she strolls off with the twins in a double-seated stroller.
Mylique: "So why don't I see you here much"?
Me:"Hunny I live here, you're the stranger I just haven't been doing much anymore with the twins.
Mylique: I can't believe you haven't noticed me yet.... ITS ME ..."MALIQUA"
My eyes widen to the fullest. I knew, I knew that face from somewhere. "Omg niggha gimmie a hug where have you been? how's you and ole girl?".
Mylique: "We don't talk nomore she kept tryna get to serious and I wasn't feelin her like that".
Me:"O........"
Mylique:"I don't needa ask about yo relationship, yo niggha kissin up on yo sister like she you. Yall look alike but not that much."
Me:"I know, this wouldn't have happened if you were available, but he gave me a blessing and that's my children, so I love him for it"
Mylique:"Well what are you now? Single I hope. If so here's my number lets get together tonight. There's a poetry slam downtown and I know you breathe Spoken Word so let's go you know my grandma will do anything for you and when she heard you had twins she couldn't wait to get her hands on them".
Me:"I heard about it, I was gone check it out, I'm glad I have someone to go with now. And tell mamaw I said hey and ima go by there sometime this week, but til then ima see what this new Mylique is about... Pick me up at 8?"
Mylique:"Ok, and no need to give me your number I still have it."
Me:"And you never used it.... RUDE". He laughed at my Bon Qui Qui impression. I miss his smile.
Mylique: "I thought you were to busy"
Me:"For you?. No just come on by anytime I'll be home with the kiddos, but I have to go. If I press ignore one more time Starr gone come back in here and bomb this damn mall. Bye Maliquaaa"!
We part and I can't lie this kid still makes my heart beat, which makes my secret even harder to bring out. But either way I was gone go out and have a ball with him. I may even share some of my pieces with the Spoken Word fam. but til then Ima just take this in and figure out what ima do about Eric and Kia, what ever I do in my future, they won't be in it.
