Song: "Enchanted" By Taylor Swift

"Your eyes whispered, 'have we met?' Cross the room your silhouette starts to make its way to me. The playful conversation starts, counter all your quick remarks like passing notes in secrecy."

Scar POV

School sucks.

Yep. There. He said it. Scar Goodtimes believes that school officially sucks. Getting up at 6:00am is possibly the worst thing in this world, and nothing could change his mind

Scar stretched his arms high above his head, not quite willing to open his eyes just yet. Gosh, morning really was the worst, wasn't it? Regardless, it was just another school day that Scar was required to be at.

His alarm clock blaring to the side of him was quickly quieted as Scar slammed one of his hands down on it, making it fall off the bedside table. Eh, Scar thought. It's fine. He got up out of his bed and yawned loudly, shocking his cat Jellie who jumped off the bed rather quickly (o7 Queen.)

Checking his phone, which read 6:03am, Scar sighed. Despite the fact that he may hate the morning time, it was such a time of quiet bliss in which he could just sit there and... be him. Strange, isn't it, how you can never be yourself until you are fully alone? It almost feels like it defeats the purpose.

Scar walked over to his closet which sat opposite to his bed and started looking for a shirt. Hm... today he wanted something that was comfy but also breezy enough, so it doesn't get too hot. It was only three weeks into August after all, and it wasn't quite Fall yet. School had only started three weeks ago for Scar, and somehow, he already had LOADS of homework. It sucked.

After eventually picking out a soft, light purple button up shirt, he picked up some gray sweatpants and started to rush downstairs out of his room. He had to tiptoe around his sister's room, since she wasn't quite up yet. Recently she has had a nasty cold and wasn't going to school for a little while. The entire Goodtimes family hoped that she would get better soon though.

Holding onto the wooden banister as he jumped down the last three steps, Scar looked up to find his mother in the kitchen making breakfast. "Hey sweetie," she said, tilting her head and smiling. God, Scar loved his mother. She had gorgeous brown hair that was usually brought up into a messy bun and green eyes just like Scar. She wore glasses which beautifully framed her face and wore a nice, lime green casual dress. "I got you some pancakes- yes, with the chocolate syrup."

Scar smiled at that. His mom knew every weird little tendency that he had, and it made him happy to feel understood by at least one person in this crazy world. Sitting down rather quickly onto a little oak stool, he began to make small talk. "So, when is dad getting home?" Scar's mother quickly changed demeanors, and her smile tightened into a fine line. Scar flinched just a little bit. He had struck a nerve.

Jewel- Scar's mother- sighed, before quickly addressing the elephant in the room. "Well, your father will be getting home in maybe three weeks? His business has been booming, so it makes sense that he spends all his time away from his family." Her voice got extremely quiet towards the end of the sentence, and Scar almost felt like he shouldn't have heard it.

His family has always had some problems, such as when Scar's grandparents cut off all support to his mom when she had him at 17-years-old. Of course, it wasn't the smartest move on Jewels part, but once Scar was born, it turned her entire life around- in a good way. And Scar's father was a good dad for the most part! He didn't leave once she turned out pregnant, and they got married. They even had another kid- Marion! When Scar's dad got busy with work, he could always tell that something else was going on beneath the surface between his parents, but Scar never looked into it. It wasn't his business.
